'One of the weakest requests for detention I have seen' | Judge releases DC lawyer, West Point grad accused of threatening National Guard​

A magistrate judge released a D.C. attorney and West Point graduate from jail Thursday, saying the government had “as close to zero” a chance as possible at demonstrating he was a danger to the community.

According to charging documents, a group of Ohio and Delaware National Guardsmen who were patrolling 14th Street Sunday evening reported Bryant approached them and began yelling things, including, “These are our streets!” and, allegedly, “I’ll kill you.” Before leaving the area, Bryant allegedly “threw his left shoulder” into one of the Guardsmen’s shoulders.

[Judge] Faruqui, who served 12 years himself as a federal prosecutor in D.C., said [prosecutor under Pirro] Bove was in a tough position arguing for Bryant’s detention in a courthouse where prosecutors had not sought to detain hundreds of Jan. 6 defendants accused of worse conduct.

Didn't she lie about election fraud? If so, she shouldn't be eligible for anything, US Attorney. Other than that, I don't know much about her. I don't trust anyone, that's on The Fox news channel. Since they lied for years.

Grand juries have declined to indict at least six times in recent weeks as part of President Donald Trump's federal policing in Washington.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia accusedNathalie Rose Jones of Indiana of threatening to take the life of the president and transmitting threats over state lines on Instagram and Facebook.

Jones allegedly called Trump a “terrorist” and a “Nazi” in a voluntary interview with the Secret Service. She attended a march in Washington on Aug. 16 that went around the White House complex and was then arrested, though she said she had no desire at that time to harm Trump

A federal magistrate judge on Thursday angrily accused Justice Department prosecutors of trampling on the civil rights of people arrested during President Trump’s law enforcement surge in the nation’s capital.

[The case being dismissed involved a drunk, potentially intellectually disabled-potentially insane, man who broke a light fixture at a restaurant. As he was being hauled off, he mouthed off to the police officer that he was going to kill him, the president and anyone who stood in the way of the Constitution.
