There is no room for wierd sex stuff in sports. Just play the darn game.
This^ seems a bit too sex obsessed. Pride is mainly about gay people just wanting to be in the world the same way as straight people.

Otoh straight people culture and behavior is actually rather sex obsessed.

What about a restraining order?
It's pretty rare to get a restraining order for simply saying things unless you're making threats. Again, I don't see the relevance to the subject of this thread.
The word punish wasn't used. That's just an assumption.
Don't be disingenuous. If someone says "I don't like what these people are saying; I'm going to try to pass some laws to push back on them," that's punishment.

Compassion for what exactly?

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ would have said to this homosexual, LGBTQ man or woman, , come and dine with me, I will give you eternal life.

Perhaps that is the compassion we should demonstrate as Christians. While homosexuality is a sin, it is important to remember that Christ died on the cross for homosexual, just as He did for me.

Jesus told everyone if they did not repent they were going to hell. He told them it would be worse for them than it was for Sodom and Gomorrah. That they would be cast into darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Where the worms that eat them do not die, and the fire is not quenched. - The trend of soft pedaling the Wrath of the Lamb is very dangerous.

That's an intentional misquote. Intentionally misquoting is disingenuous. Asserting speculation and assumption as fact is disingenuous.

You are right, Jesus said that to everyone, including me.

Yet, he died on the cross for me as much as someone who is homosexual.

Jesus showed compassion to sinners, the poor, and the sick. Questioning “what compassion we should show” is unbiblical and unchristian. Christians should love sinners, pray for them, and bring them to Christ, not condemn them.

He did not in any way whatsoever support sin or worldliness. He did not in any way whatsoever say that it's okay. Nor is treating sin and worldliness as being alright in any way whatsoever a Christian act of compassion. Christians are letting the ungodly world dictate to them. They're letting themselves get lulled into compliancy.

During his time on earth, he dined with sinners, walked with them, spent time with them, and visited their homes. He showed compassion.

You quoting some Bible verse about sinner will spend eternity in hell will not change the fact that God so loved the SINNER that He sent His one and only son to die for the homosexual or LGBTQ person or all those wired sex stuff people do.

It’s funny how some sins are just so much worse than others, they need to be immediately pointed out and pushed back against. Featuring bikini clad women, promotion of alcohol consumption and sports betting/gambling during literally every broadcast - no big deal. Put out a message of inclusivity during pride month… well I hope you all have your pearls ready to clutch. There’s some sinnin’ a going on here that needs to be judged.

Such as? Can you elaborate on the relevance to our discussion?
That's an intentional misquote. Intentionally misquoting is disingenuous.
It's a paraphrase - and an accurate one to boot. If I intend to directly quote someone, I generally try to use the forum quote function, like this:
Utahns overwhelmingly don’t support pride month. We are the most kind people in the world and are taken advantage of because of that kindness. Nothing makes Utahns more mad when political ideologies get pushed into their lives. And even worse, having taxes prop up these ideologies. Watch for some significant legislation this next session that pushes back onto these woke groups!
Please explain how my paraphrase is inaccurate.
Asserting speculation and assumption as fact is disingenuous.
Can you show me where I have asserted anything as factual? I've presented my opinions - nothing more, nothing less.

I apologize on behalf of some Christians. The fact is that many do not fully understand the contents of the Bible or they use Bible verses to justify their behavior. It is important to note that Jesus died on the cross for all sinners because God loved the world and desires for everyone to have eternal life, regardless of the nature of their sins.

As Christians, we must show compassion and love to sinners, regardless of their sins, because that is what Jesus did. Anyone who cannot show compassion or love to a sinner is not a true follower of Jesus. Although they may quote Bible verses about sinners going to hell, on Judgment Day Jesus will say to them, "I never knew you."

Which does the sinner no good whatsoever if they do not repent. And to encourage sin in any way whatsoever is to discourage repentance.
During his time on earth, he dined with sinners, walked with them, spent time with them, and visited their homes. He showed compassion.
He showed them the way to salvation by repenting, dying to themselves and their sin, and following Him as their Lord and Master, which was the act of compassion He showed towards them.
You quoting some Bible verse about sinner will spend eternity in hell will not change the fact that God so loved the SINNER that He sent His one and only son to die for the homosexual or LGBTQ person or all those wired sex stuff people do.
And God's only begotten Son is the one who told the sinful world that they would face everlasting punishment. Moses didn't say that. The prophets didn't say that. The apostles didn't say that. Jesus is the one who said that numerous times. The compassion of God is giving sinners a way out of that, through repentance. Those who do not repent and willfully continue in their sin are spitting in the face of Jesus in and on the cross. They are rejecting God's compassion and the compassionate sacrifice of Jesus.

It would be like if someone ruined their liver by drinking, and you gave them half of your liver so that they could survive, and they kept on drinking. Your compassion and your sacrifice did them no good whatsoever because they rejected the gift of life you gave them.

Suggesting Jesus is going to reject Christians for repeating what He said is a really messed up conception. You keep focusing on what Jesus did along the lines of eating and drinking with people and dismissing all the warnings He gave.

What about it is supposed to be weird?
It is weird because one mustn’t be too terribly surprised to discover that a CHRISTIAN forum still clings to a few of those old-fashioned CHRISTIAN values, such as refraining from the enthusiastic endorsement of LGBT matters and abortion. So really, the choices are frightfully simple: either muster the fortitude to endure it, or simply relocate to more accommodating pastures.

All unrepentant sin will be judged. The unrepentant homosexual and heterosexual will be judged. If heterosexuals never repent and go on fornicating, they will face judgement.

Nobody here said that anyone is going to hell. But I am curious as to how anyone can reconcile Romans 1:32 and those who approve of homosexuality.

Romans 1:32 NIV
[32] Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

Saying Jesus is going to reject Christians for repeating what He said is a really messed up conception. You keep focusing on what Jesus did along the lines of eating and drinking with people and dismissing all the warnings He gave. And you're claiming that it's unchristian to give those same warnings Christ gave. That it's unchristian to repeat Christ, and that Christ will reject Christians for saying what Christ Himself said.

What is unChristian, in my opinion, is striving to have a secular government criminalize Christian sins for those who don't believe they are immoral;

You are correct. If a sinner repents and accepts Christ, they will receive eternal life. Eternal damnation is not a consequence of one's sins but rather the result of not accepting Christ as their personal savior.

We cannot know who repented. Our duty is to love and show compassion. Saying LGBTQ people will go to hell does not reflect Christian values.
