Body of Israeli hostage Shiri Bibas has been returned, family says

The body of Israeli hostage Shiri Bibas has been returned to Israel after Hamas sent back the wrong one.

The Bibas family confirmed Saturday morning the human remains that were returned to Israel from the war-torn Gaza Strip on Friday have been identified as that of 32-year-old Shiri.
You might want to read your source before posting it.....

Hamas, the militant group that governs Gaza, handed over the remains of what it said were four deceased Israeli hostages – Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas, as well as 84-year-old Oded Lifshitz -- on Thursday as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement with Israel. After conducting a forensic analysis, Israeli officials positively identified three of the returned bodies as Lifshitz and the Bibas children but said the fourth was not that of their mother nor any other hostage.

The coffins containing the bodies of Ariel and Kfir Bibas sit on a stage before being handed over to the Red Cross by Hamas in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, Feb. 20, 2025.

The analysis also found that Ariel and Kfir "were both brutally murdered by terrorists while being held hostage in Gaza, no later than November, 2023," according to the Israel Defense Forces.

"The terrorists did not shoot the two young boys -- they killed them with their bare hands,” the IDF said in a statement Friday. "Afterwards, they committed horrific acts to cover up these atrocities. This assessment is based on both forensic findings from the identification process, and intelligence that supports the findings."

These murderered babies were also paraded through the streets while music played and people cheered and danced. Palestinians. These people are animals. They had their children dancing on stage as part of the spectacle. The evil contained within this area is palpable.

The video I've seen doesn't seem to support that.

I don't like Israel negotiating and partnering with Hamas to do all of this, but Israeli society will have a permanent soul wound until all of the hostages are released. I am sure Israel's leadership does not want to continue to the second phase of the agreement to release all the remaining hostages, because that's where Israel withdraws and the war ends (leaving Hamas in power) but Israel's leadership owes it to their society and the families to get those hostages out.

Why be honest with the terrorists? They're only honest when it suits them...

...Just start lobbing bombs again as soon as all the Israeli captives are released and finish the job then. That's what's fair!

These must be the sick cousins of sodham and Gomorrah. Just sick in the head!

Go back on your word, Israel!

What sane and rational State agrees to a negotiated settlement if the leadership is planning on reneging on its commitments under that agreement?

Just imagine how shocked their faces would turn underneath those masks after their stupid clown-show parading stunts.

I agree. And don't stop until every last one of them are dead.

Exclusive: Some US officials say in internal memo Israel may be violating international law in Gaza

Under a National Security Memorandum (NSM) issued by President Joe Biden in February, Blinken must report to Congress by May 8 whether he finds credible Israel's assurances that its use of U.S. weapons does not violate U.S. or international law.

Trump repeals Biden directive linking U.S. arms to human rights

The Trump administration has rescinded a Biden-era regulation that sought to ensure American allies don’t use U.S.-made weapons in violation of international humanitarian law, current and former officials said Monday.

Voting with Iran and North Korea at the UN and turning a blind eye to violations of humanitarian law done with our weapons.

No! However we know why the Tech Billionaires did a happy dance at the inauguration. Transactional Diplomacy without reference to a moral compass is unlikely to yield true and lasting peace, as true peace requires justice. Now it is a complex question as it depends where you start the narrative. If you start on October 17 you will get one answer, which may not be the same answer you will get when you start with Lord Kitchener, Laurence of Arabia and King Faisal.

More than 400 killed as Israel strikes Gaza, breaking ceasefire with Hamas, officials say

Israel’s military launched a large-scale bombing campaign on the Gaza Strip early Tuesday, breaking the fragile ceasefire with Hamas that has been in place since late January. At least 404 people have been killed, with 562 injured, Gaza’s Health Ministry said. An Israeli official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly, said the “series of preemptive strikes” targeted Hamas leadership and infrastructure, following weeks of stagnant negotiations.

So really, when you think about it, wasn't it Hamas who started shooting first?

Israeli opposition, former hostages condemn decision to resume strikes in Gaza

Yair Golan, leader of the left-wing opposition party The Democrats and a former deputy chief of staff for the Israel Defense Forces, accusedNetanyahu of “using the lives of our citizens and soldiers because he is trembling with fear” following public outcry over reports that he plans to dismiss Israel’s domestic intelligence chief, Ronen Bar, who has called for prioritizing the return of all Israeli hostages over continuing the war.

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum said in a statement Tuesday that it was “shocked, outraged, and deeply distressed by the deliberate shattering of the process to bring our loved ones home from Hamas’s horrific captivity.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Israel consulted Washington ahead of the extensive strikes.

The ultranationalist Jewish Power party, which quit the government over its opposition to January’s ceasefire agreement, announced in a joint statement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party on Tuesday that it would return to the coalition.

Israeli attacks largely a negotiation tactic amid stalled ceasefire talks, officials say

Negotiations between the two sides have stalled: Hamas is calling for negotiations with Israel over the second phase of the deal, which would include provisions for a withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and an end to the war in exchange for the release of remaining hostages; while Israel wants an extension to the first phase of the ceasefire and the release of more hostages.

It is a sad world when killing 400 people is described as a negotiating tactic. It is a blatant disregard for human beings made in the image and after the likeness of God.

Husam al-Titi, former ABC News journalist, killed in Gaza air strike the night Israel ended the ceasefire

Al-Titi was a sound engineer for ABC News for 20 years until 2014, when he left the company and became a teacher. He lived in Gaza City with his wife, daughter and three sons, but he was in Deir al Balah in a displacement camp when he was killed.
