A school shooting in Iowa just occurred when a male who identified himself as part of the LGBTQ community entered the school on the first day of classes after the break and shot three people before killing himself.

Two gunshot victims were taken by ambulance to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in the state capital of Des Moines, a health system spokesperson said. Some other patients were transported to a second hospital in Des Moines, a spokesperson for MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center confirmed, declining to comment on the number of patients or their statuses.
As the story develops it discovered that the shooter had been posting on social media that he identified as gender fluid, acted out a shooting and had trans supporting messages on his social media pages. These pages are being quickly removed.
This person was obviously mentally disturbed. More details will be coming as the story develops.
