They (scientist) can not even predict a hurricane season.
NOAA predicts above-normal 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season
There have been three named storms so far and we are just entering the months that see the most tropical activity in the Atlantic with the peak not arriving until the second week of September. By the time the season ends we will most likely see an above normal hurricane season. Be patient. Some of the most active hurricane seasons have gotten off to a slow start.

Its frequently easier to predict general events than more specific ones.
If past predictions proved true we would have had another ice age then the polar ice would have melted by now and all the polar bears drowned.

I think the "ice age" prediction that was a popular thing in the USA some decades ago is not too relevant, internationally and today.

If you watched An Inconvenient Truth how many of those predictions have came to pass?

I do not watch many American documentaries, they all seem too biased or politicized, to me. I like the ones about physics/universe, though. You are good with those.

Movies. A pop magazine cover. Ugh.
Dont get distracted.
Focus on what qualified scientists are finding.

But it does allow people with their head in the sand justification to reject changing lifestyle and ignore obvious climate impacts as nothing to fuss over.

Been there.... done that...
I have lived through two end of the worlds (a global cooling and a global warming) and the earth and myself are still here.
Now we have climate change... an all encompassing word for cyclical weather patterns in effort to create fear, and push their agenda.
We should be good stewards of our environment ...no doubt....But when you pull back the curtain on the alarmists it's all about $$$ and control.....that is it.
Do a deep dive into any of these people .... where they live, how they live, what they drive, what they fly...etc. These cats have a bigger carbon footprint than China (extremely exaggerated) ...but they don't care ...but we give them a, pass because they say they care.

But all the scientists agree....far from it. All the scientists who are funded by the alarmists agree .....the others are ostracized, shut down, labeled as deniers ....similar to what you saw with those who had differing opinions regarding the vaccine.

Its not about opinions of some scientists. Temperatures are factually growing. And fast.

The graph is without 2022 which sets many records in extreme heats.

I know the temps have increased. I have had to add AC to my house to survive the summers. Never had to for my fifty years living in my town.

Fun fact...AC contributes to the problem.

Trying to convince people its real.
Been there done that.

If they dont know by now, then they've sealed some ideological commitment which no amount of reality can break.

You're telling me...I've been trying to convince everyone of the impossibility of fixing the problem.

No one wants to hear that.

Then if most of the people on this forum are right won't we just evolve to be able to handle the heat or go extinct so that a better suited creature will take our place? Isn't that the way the ToE works?

Yeah, I don't think the predictions are slow enough for any regular evolution to allow for humankind. I think we'll still have pockets of humankind in certain regions still inhabitable....but mostly, this is a mass extinction event.
