We are told that if we confess our sins the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. This also involves turning away from the sins then. Of course if it is a sin of the past, if we can make amends or apologize that is good. But otherwise we just have to trust in our Lord’s mercy.
Our creator is called the father of mercies. We are told that he delights to shiw us mercy, that is to give us the opposite of what we deserve.
We are told that he is patient and long-suffering. We all sin. We all fall, get back up, and so commonly fall again.
Though we change, he stays the same. As long as we sincerely want to do better, he will never forsake us.
We are also told that his grace is sufficient for us, for in our weakness his omnipotent strength is made perfect.
So do not feel overwhelmed, like you have to fight the battle on your own. You’re actually not to fight at all. “The battle is the Lords.” Your only part is to turn it over to him.
I pray you will be given wisdom and insight and freedom from your problem.
