What is up with this new Google homepage thing? I'm sick of anime.. it's 2021.. we should be onto something new now.

I remember when I was younger, anime was mostly cute, funny and just strange in a good way. Now it’s all about witchcraft, demons and violence which should be labeled k18 most of them but they are not. And by violence Im not talking about punching in the face but very grim things. I told my daughter not to watch them anymore but I can’t control her she can decide for herself she is smart

It’s too hot in here and I can’t sleep so thinking what I should watch because Netflix is mainly full of garbage

Yeah it is.. I have no idea why I keep renewing my subscription for it..

Besides Better Call Saul (which they've been lacking to upload the latest season for a while now..) I really have no reason to have it.

As some might know, Jungle Cruise was the last Disney movie with a planned simultaneous release on Disney Plus (for a charge) and in theaters. I expected there to be some reason they continued doing it despite that. Well, there are some inklings that may be the case. Clifford The Big Red Dog has been pulled from its release date to "Delta variant concerns". That could be a sign of things to come. Disney will probably use the same logic to continue their dual release method.

I don't care much either way but I think for some the dual release strategy is a positive. For those who don't want to drive or have had bad theater experiences, it gives them an alternative.

I agree. In the past when people had smaller television sets I could somewhat understand it.. but with modern 4K screens and the sizes that are available now.. I just do not see what edge the theater experience really has.

The benefit of seeing movies in a theater has definitely decreased. Also, the people who pay to see it on streaming probably won't go to the theater if that's not an option... they'd just wait for it to hit VOD. I think it's better to give people multiple choices.

I considered it odd that the Disney September release of the Get Back movie along with the new Ghostbusters has been bumped to November when the virus should be spiking again instead of mild times in Sept.

The new schedules don't always make sense. I hope we don't see a lot of films getting major delays like last time. One promotional cycle is enough. I'd rather they release it for theater and streaming or theater and VOD rather than wait a year while theatrical returns are already declining anyways.

All part of testing out the Great Reset. They get to reset the economic and societal model to suit the new Corporatism movement of which both communist and capitalist are all part of, and mostly at tax payer expense.

How does that factor into the Great Reset?
Just as vaudeville fell so will theatres. They are just determining what people will pay for home convenience of releases, you know, like $35 dollars for a movie upon release at home on the tv instead of waiting 3 months to rent for $5.

Smaller chains and independents could get bought up by competitors or other companies. At some point theaters will either die off, become much more niche, or have to evolve in someway. They've started bringing back 3D but I don't think it'll be enough.

You hit the head on the nail., The new global movement is called Corporatism of which the old-school systems of capitalism and communism are both a part of. Corporatism has been busy buying up and absorbing businesses and now governments for over a century to establish a global government and system, so buying up smaller chains and independents has always been the way and has given us a new world order.

All the changes we are seeing now will be based upon this new system... and especially seeing how much the people will be willing to pay, often for what they used to get for free. Imagine paying at home the same price or more for a movie you used to see in a theatre, but they no longer have the expense and overhead of theatres etc.. Amazon made an extra 10 billion last year at the expense of closed smaller stores.

Kind of wanting to get a gym membership. Since I'm fully vaccinated I think it might be the time.. although I worry things will shut down again. I want to at least buy by the month.

I used to loved going to cinema and I took my daughter with me, but im not so sad about it because they don’t make good movies anymore so ... thinking of living like animal in the forest soon or so it seems to be inevitable thing. Strange world.
