That's definitely a start. Of course we've seen a number of incidents where CRT propeganda has been taught and pushed in schools. Teaching our white kids they are a racist lot and teaching black kids that white people are a bunch of racists.

It does so by pitting one against the other. It's blacks vs whites.

You need to pay attention. Does it not teach that whites are racist and hold racist views? Does it not teach that whites are trying to hold onto their power because they are racist?

You might actually take a look at these so called right wing articles and post one. Then refute it. I'd like to see that.

I think all parties would benefit by simply hashing out the details and a concrete definition of what "critical race theory" means (especially if people want to teach it in schools)

"Critical Race Theory" much like "Defund the police", has become a semantically overloaded expression.

Where you have some people espousing a very extreme viewpoint in certain instances, but then when it's time to do an interview and provide a rebuttal to the criticism, define it is as something much more benign.

Much like "Defund the Police" could either mean 'Abolish the police' or 'Simply redirect a percentage of police funding toward social intervention programs' depending on who you ask...

I see the same thing happening here with the expression "Critical Race Theory".

Depending on who you talk to it either means 'simply including viewpoints and information about how past racist institutions still negatively impact people today' (which is completely acceptable and a reasonable), or it could mean including historically inaccurate materials like the 1619 project in public schools and companies hiring the person who wrote this article to come in to give a mandatory seminar where you work...

I learned about the Civil War, but not Jim Crow or anything that happened to blacks in the north. Judging by the path my own education on this subject took and the abject ignorance I’ve witnessed on this subject in a number of circles (including here on CF), it’s clear to me that the deficiencies of my education were not unique.

As to a reliable source there are various sites that tell you which sources are far right, far left, or more middle of the road, and also base their ratings on the history of those sites.
