Good question. The other problem is, if a barrier is constructed which is not the same as the "wall" Trump originally promised or the "wall" (fence) he actually started, is it still a "wall?"

Just to be clear, you are referring to the "Big, Beautiful Wall" that Trump promised through 2017-18, before quietly relenting and going with a CBP design - the steel bollard fence.

The eight prototypes built at a cost of 5 million dollars (since demolished in 2019....)

That's not what he led us to believe regarding Trump's wall.
Trumps wall was supposed to span the entire border and be paid for by Mexico. I don’t remember you criticizing Trump for not delivering on those promises.

Voters are responsible for the halt in wall construction (as well as the immigrant surge), not Trump.

Do you believe that the current surge would have happened if Trump had been reelected, regardless of the wall being unfinished?
Yes.

This fellow, Biden, really seems uncertain of what he ought to do. And it's not just about the border.

Maybe he is faced with continually deciding between the conflicting demands of the different people who agreed to let him be the presidential nominee of his party so long as he didn't do too much thinking for himself.
It’s almost like he’s some kind of centrist and not a radical leftist at all like so many on the right wanted us to believe.

I criticized him at first for not building the fence that I suggested.

We did, and rejected it. The situation at the border is a mess, and the Biden administration has yet to come to grips with it. But building a flimsy fence (not a wall) which can be cut through in a few minutes with a $49 reciprocating saw available at several convenient Home Depot stores just south of the border isn't a solution, either.

If you can see through it you can cut through it. It had to be 'see-through', so there you go.

Biden never pledged not to construct or improve physical barriers where necessary. Indeed, that has always been part of Democratic policy.

People forget that the Democrat party for the past 30 years or so has been a conservative party. The number of people in national politics in the US that are genuinely left of center can be counted on one hand.

What have they attempted to conserve?

That would mean that all the drastic extreme leftist policies that are being pushed on the population of the United States is being done by no more than 5 people?

He also mentioned 'cages' in criticism I believe to the Trump admin. Wonder if he now regrets those words? Heck, I wonder if he even remembers saying them?
Both are good questions.
