What is worse form of discrimination?

Discrimination is to treat others unjustly. Discrimination frequently occurs based on age, sex, looks, greed, height, hate, jealousy, pride, religion, political affiliation, and personality. The worst and most ruthless form of discrimination is by mothers against their own unborn innocent babies through abortion, which has killed 1.5 billion, including 47% of black babies after it was legalized. Unfortunately, those who promote and support this genocide also claim to care for the poor and marginalized. If their compassion is true, how can they commit such blatant discrimination and totally disregard the most helpless and innocent babies? Their failure to recognize and protect the most helpless shows their total blindness to the Truth. To see the Truth we must open our heart to God’s love within us. Because, then we will see the Spirit of God in every human life, and respect and honor them.

Flip the question, how can those who call themselves pro-life totally disregard the lives of the post-born? And I would take the more vocal proponents of pro-life more seriously if they were, you know, actually pro-life and not just anti-abortion.

It goes both ways.

And just so we're clear, I'm not defending abortion.

Good days are coming soon! With the advancement in technology, every fertilized egg will be eligible for placement in an artificial womb and most all of our income taxes will be reallocated to raise these infants.

Pro-Life supporters will be able to save as many babies from being murdered as they are willing to pay for and raise them to adulthood. The time of unwanted babies will be over and Christians can wait in line to pick up multiple artificial womb babies for rearing in good Christian homes. No more murdered babies.

Additionally, about half of all fertilized eggs fail to implant nowdays. So there will be twice as many of God's children for us to raise and care for. They will display all colors and abilities and disabilities as well. To avoid discrimination - the assignment of babies will be through a randomized lottery system.

I don't think this is a fair account of what some women are going through when they make the decision to have an abortion. Some are desperately poor and can see no way to raise one, or another one. Some are pregnant due to rape or incest and can't see caring for a child conceived under those circumstances.

None of this makes abortion somehow good. But if we're going to have this discussion in an intelligent and compassionate manner, we need to take these realities into consideration. It's not just a mother's "discrimination" towards her unborn child. It is sometimes a woman in great duress, perhaps alone, desperate, and thinking she has no better option.

First, I just want to say the coldness and callousness of the responses so far are completely despicable. Second, I get your point, but I wouldn't consider it discrimination as much as a form of self-worship. These babies are killed in the name of personal convenience and selfishness. They die because others consider them personally inconvenient.

But, as I said, I do get your point.

The conditions of the mother's lives are often an issue.

Yelizaveta Pantueva [ru] (Liza) was 5 years old when her 70-year-old maternal grandfather raped and impregnated her. She had her 6th birthday several days before giving birth. Pantueva's parents did not want the obstetricians to perform a cesarean section, as it was considered dangerous at the time. She gave birth in Kharkiv, with the aid of forceps and retractors. The 3 kg (6.6 lb), 52 cm (20 in) infant girl died during labor due to an early placental tear; she had been born at full term and apparently of good constitution and, according to doctors, would have survived if she had been extracted more quickly, revived, and oxygenated. After the incident, the family emigrated to Vladivostok, taking the girl's grandfather with them.[7]

Each pregnancy is different.

According to information gathered by Amnesty International Leyla Mafi, from Arak, Iran, had been prostituted by her mother starting from the age of 8. Leyla M. had a developmental delay (at the age of 19 she was assessed to have a mental age of 8 years old). She had three children, the first at the age of 9 and then twins at age 14.[41] At age 19, she was condemned and faced the death penalty for the "moral offenses" of debauchery, incest, and illegitimate motherhood. Lawyer Shadi Sadr intervened on her behalf, and her sentence was reduced to public beating and imprisonment. After 2006, Ms. M was sent to a rehabilitation center and eventually came to reside in an apartment with a caretaker.[42][43]

What is the proportion of anti-abortion supporters and adoptive parents? Has anyone studied the correlation? If so, how many do they adopt? I found statistics about adoptions from 2018.

The article said 5% of practicing Christians adopt children. I imagine the anti-abortion numbers are much greater.

Let’s take a look at who adopts the most.
  • Older People. The majority of people who adopt are over 30. In fact, 81 percent of adoptive mothers are between 35-44 years old, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And approximately one-half are between 40 and 44 years old. Only 3 percent of adoptive mothers are in the 18-29 age group.
  • Men. More than twice as many men than women adopt. Some are gay couples; others are men who have previously fathered children. Men who adopt are also somewhat younger than their women counterparts with more than 25 percent in the 30-34 age range.
  • Women Who Sought Medical Help to Have a Baby. If a woman has used infertility services, she is 10 times more likely to adopt, says the CDC. This figure is not surprising when you consider how many women come to adoption after suffering for years with infertility.
  • Christians. According to EthicsDaily.com, 5 percent of practicing Christians in the United States have adopted, which is more than twice the number of all adults who have adopted. In addition, a survey showed that 38 percent of practicing Christians had seriously considered adoption, while only 26 percent of all adults had.
  • Caucasians. Most adoptive parents (73 percent) are non-Hispanic white adults, according to a study by the Barna Group. However, they are less likely to adopt a Caucasian child. Only 37 percent of children adopted are Caucasian.

When my wife and I were looking to adopt our son (who is 22 now), our adoption agency was candid with us when we turned our paperwork in about not getting our hopes up too high, because at that time, there were about 100 qualified couples (like us) who were hoping to adopt a baby for every baby who was put up for adoption (this was in the USA). I'm not certain where that figure is today, but 22 years ago, gay couples (for instance) were not included in the mix (that made up the 100 to 1 ratio), but they are certainly a factor today.

We don't need more adoptive parents right now, we need more moms (who feel that they cannot raise the child they are presently pregnant with) to choose adoption for their baby instead of abortion.

--David

"A baby is cradled / carried in the womb of it's mother, to grow and be nurtured until birth. Each baby is a wholly separate person from it's mother: With different DNA, different fingerprints, with possibly a different blood type or the opposite sex. The baby is a person living within a person and not "the mother's body". The mom is appointed to care for the separate life she carries within her and once it's born, find a home for her baby, if she can't provide one." -- Melody Green

It's not just a mother's "discrimination" towards her unborn child.
There can be a culture of pressuring an unwed woman to abort her child; friends and family can be in on this. If she gives in to this, it can be because she is not sure of being loved and supported if she has her child. Unsure love could be America's number-one real national security threat. It can cause a lot of stuff.

I agree how we need to stop what is wrong, but also we need what can help.

But no law, I would say, can change people to know how to love unwed pregnant mothers and their children. But each of us with God can learn and be a good example to help others.

I agree. If we really want to cut down on abortions we have to love single mothers and not encourage the stigma that can be associated with it. We need to be really good at giving a helping hand, and not so much at finger pointing. Perhaps we're getting better at it. I don't know.
