All the “doom and gloom” news about how long voter has to wait in line, I am really impressed and proud to see Americans waiting in line 12 hours to vote, because they realized how important this election is. We can surly discuss the election process in USA and how to improve in future, but I am truly amazed by Americans endurance in this time to bring change by voting.

They do not they have plenty of time if they judge a line to be too long come back later.
Why do you think it will be a shorter line "later"? It could be shorter, it could be longer, it could be the same. How many times are you supposed to leave and come back? What if the lines never get shorter? That happens often, with any kind of lines...

I think it's easy for you to talk about it since you're not in that situation. Many people find it easy to talk about hard situations that others are in which they themselves are never in. The Bible is right about the end times, that's for sure - "the love of many waxes cold".

It's VERY easy for people in a priviledged position (low population, ease of voting) to question the struggles of others and require MORE out of others than is required of themselves in those circumstances. I'd argue it's also not uncommon for those same people with no idea of that struggle to then also castigate or disparage people who point out that inherent inequity when really, the solution to that inequity would have LITERALLY 0 impact on their life.

It's kinda baffling.

While I appreciate that mindset, I gotta tell you that to me, it's more a very VERY worrisome sign at how how scared and worried people are for the future of your country.

True. But the point that I am trying to make is that there could be other factors other than mean 'ol Republicans trying to steal the election. Like a faulty new voting machine. The op article is pure conspiracy theory.
It’s been this way in Georgia for years. The Republicans control the voting infrastructure and do not allow enough polling stations in black neighborhoods. It happens over and over and they refuse to fix it.

To be fair, conservatives have a history of trying to disenfranchise people. The link I posted in #32 ABSOLUTELY hammers home that point if you would choose to interact with it.

And as a sidenote, it seems more than a bit absurd to argue that the "article is pure conspiracy theory" by pointing out a completely unsubstantiated conclusion.

Because, that's what a conspiracy theory is.

But Sparagmos....why do they refuse to fix it?

It just doesn't make sense. I mean, it's not like Republicans could be....racist....or....that they are trying to disenfranchise black people.

That can't be it. It just CAN'T.

So it must be a democrats fault somehow. Can you help me get there?

Do Republicans control the voting structure in Democrat strongholds?

Generally no, it depends on who the Secretary of State is. I’m guessing you knew that and you’re going somewhere with this?

No it can’t be racism! If those black people just got jobs they could move to neighborhoods with more polling locations.

Apologies! I think I may have inadvertantly put a space in their by mistake. It's fixed and tested and seems to work.

EDIT: In fact, if you get down to the end of the thread, it explains exactly HOW these long lines in Georgia happenned. It's quite a way down though.

AH! Praise the Lord! Georgia looks like a Divinely inspired Christian utopia, quite possibly the modern Garden of Eden.

Health Care? God will heal and protect His true followers.

Education? An educated person is more likely to stray from religion and embrace the Satanic tempting of the physical world. Rock music videos, violent video games, inappropriate contentography, and voting for Democrats.

Economy? Who cares for our short time on this fallen earth when the true believers will spend eternity in a heaven where the streets are paved with gold?

Infrastructure? Again, who cares? Golden streets, remember? And anyway, good infrastructure would tempt people to not stay at home or Church.

Opportunity? There is plenty of opportunity to read God’s Word in the Bible and to learn Bronze Age Science.

Fiscal Stability? Who need it? God will provide perfect health and then eternity with gold streets.

Crime & Corrections? Jesus commanded us to sell out cloaks to be able to purchase swords, the assault rifle of the day. God’s chosen know how to deal with thugs, agitators, protesters, and people that are different from us.

Natural Environment? God gave us the environment to use as we see fit. Besides, with the Rapture so close, it just makes sense to totally destroy the enviroment so Satan has nothing of value.
