The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I'm not in as much physical pain but my mental pain is bad. My boyfriend always cheats on me. We share a child and I'm fed up but he just berates me when I catch him. I've had a failed suicide attempt and I've been hit in the face by him before. I'm miserable.It seems you might have taken your eyes off Jesus and are looking at yourself. Like Peter did when walking o water, he looked around and back at his friends and the he got scared and sunk in. Just concentrate on Jesus for now. Read the gospels first, then go back and start reading the bible from the beginning. Pray always before opening it, and look for Jesus in the OT, for it is He that is there. He is it from the very start of creation for it is He that created everything. He was one with God and created all the angels. They worshipped Him as the Son of God and Jesus gave up all that to become human in order to save you---you personally. Had there been only you, He still would have done it. I am in hospice, can die at any moment, have been in a wheelchair for 13 years, have diabetes, fibromyalgia also, my husband died 2 years ago and I live alone, I had to give my dog up as I could not afford him and could not take care of him, I am in pain 24/7---are you more miserable than I?---I've never been closer to the Lord and have never felt happier nor more at peace. I spend my days with Him and in His word. It makes all the difference.
