My cold heart

Ezekiel 36:26
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Alot of the time I have a cold and uncaring heart.
I don't love God and neighbour as I should.

Sometimes we need to do actions when we aren't feeling it and the feelings will follow.

Get out of your comfort zone and serve those around you, that will help.

You are in a good place with the Lord! Here is a good Scripture: "We are of the circumcision who rejoice in Christ, worship in the Spirit and have no confidence in the flesh".

This means that we walk by faith and not by sight or feeling. When there are no feelings, and our heart seems cold, we are forced to depend on the bare promises in God's Word for our walk in the Spirit. God does this deliberately and seems to withdraw Himself into darkness so that you will seek Him with all your heart. It is like the person in Song of Solomon who could not find her lover and didn't know where he was and so went through the streets of the city looking for him until she found him. God promises that if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him, and He will cause you to know Him. "This is life eternal, that we know you, the only true God and your son Jesus Christ".

StarryEyedShoeGazer The Bible says that if we seek Him we will find Him. It says that if we draw near to Him He will draw near to us. It says that if we ask anything according to His will - and to be freed from a cold heart and filled with love is certainly His will - that He hears us. He never withdraws from us. We withdraw from Him. He promises to be with us always, even unto the end of the age.

I agree that doing good for others can help to soften our hearts, too.
