The Trump administration is pumping $3 billion into shelter network for migrant children after reports of kids held in squalid Border Patrol cells. But critics don't want these kids confined at all.

On Thursday, Congress voted to pass a $4.6 billion humanitarian aid bill for the detained migrant children — a measure President Donald Trump is expected to sign.

Seems like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic to me. If he truly cares about people, he'd shut down these concentration camps and allow these children to come here to get citizenship. Simply throwing more money at death camps is not acceptable.

I don't mean this for or against what Donald is doing. I can not know how it will work.

But I would think there needs to be organization of children crossing the border.

If they are just left free to do whatever, they can find their ways into different sorts of "death camp" situations.

I would think parents and guardians need to go through legal process. And if they do what is illegal, including endangering their children by taking them on a border crossing, how do you believe they need to manage people who do not go through legal process plus they endanger their children?

If they're endangering their children with border crossings, it probably means that they're desperate enough to want to flee whatever is happening in their home country.

That is a sign that their cases require sensitivity and compassion, not throwing them in concentration camps and leaving them to die.

Not only do I think that it's possible to keep track of migrants without the need for cruelly punitive measures, I think it's the right thing to do. The only thing that concentration camps create are people who hate you. They don't create people who want to be loyal to this country because this country treated them with dignity and respect.

Is it 4.6 billion plus 3 billion additional? The total being almost 8 billion? For how many kids? I ask because the 2 World trade center construction cost was 3.8 billion. How many children are coming in that it requires that many billions of dollars?

I wanted to send 50 pounds of soap but the link you provided states they dont accept goods but more money, how on earth is billions not enough?

Heres a 2 minute video of DHS secretary Jeh Johnson commenting on the current situation Trump War Room on Twitter
I tried to find the video elsewhere but I couldn't find it.

Thank you for your time and answering in a civil manner.

Now that I think of it, if immigrants had arrangements to help them, they might not feel the need to sneak away from the system and go incognito. And it might cost less, to just keep track of them and assist them to use their abilities to take care of themselves.

But how many people would be showing up at the border, for this? I am not sure how sustainable it would be. There would need to be dedicated professionals and tax payers to receive and educate and medically care for these people wherever they went.

They are, to be simple, not being loved where they came from. But American humans also can be unloving. You can't just change a system. You need people who love and care for people, too. Quote some number of people in American don't want their own unborn to immigrate; how well are they going to want to help people from other countries????

Even so, in case there are plenty of Americans who would help these people, we can do a data base, for where to refer each family to be voluntarily assisted - - maybe like with a student exchange program.

Nobody wants to hear that. Trump is bad. He can’t be doing that. Plus, even if it’s true, he’s only cleaning up a mess that’s existed for 30 years, which, coincidentally, nobody wants to hear.

That all sounds pretty good.

Yes, we do need people who love and care for people. That's why one reason why I think we need to abolish ICE: they've proven an utter disregard for the human beings in their care, and I find that unacceptable.

I don't think the problem with our border being "flooded" is nearly as dire as some would claim. This is a big country and there's plenty of room for people who want to come here. Rather than changing laws in such a way to restrict the legal avenues for asylum, I think we need to help people. That's what Christians do, and if we truly want to be a so-called "Christian nation", that's what we should do.

Each of us now can do what good we can. Trust God to guide us and make the way . . . for personal loving. Love is not a welfare system! - - of making sure each person gets no more than than he or she absolutely needs!! God gives us so much more than we deserve :)

But God is able to use our political people in authority to do some kind of good, and we are directed to pray for them > 1 Timothy 3:1-10.
