President Joe Biden’s deputies are asking Congress for $14 billion extra to help bus illegal migrants up to the U.S. border and onward into hotels in many cities and towns around the nation.

The request is being touted as “border security” even though very few funds would be used to exclude economic migrants. For example, Biden’s deputies have ushered more than 300,000 economic migrants through the U.S. border in September alone. The 2023 inflow has added up to roughly 2.5 million, not counting legal migrants and temporary workers.

Instead, much of the requested money would be used to help more job-seeking migrants reach the U.S. border, register and release them, and then bus them to hotels, job training, and American workplaces around the United States.

That's right. Biden demands that hard working tax payers pay to train foreigners to take their jobs and underbid their wages.

$61 billion for Ukraine and replenishing U.S. stockpile

$14 billion in Israel-related assistance

$9 billion for humanitarian assistance

$3 billion for the submarine industrial base

$2 billion for security assistance to the Indo-Pacific region

$11 billion for border security and migrant matters

This funding includes $4.4 billion for the Department of Homeland Security for things including holding facilities and reimbursing the Pentagon for its support. It also includes $1.9 billion for Health and Human Services to support the arrivals of unaccompanied minors. The border funding also includes $1.4 billion for the Justice Department to add additional judge teams, as immigration court backlogs cripple the system.

$2 billion to counter China in developing countries

$1 billion for countering fentanyl

$1 billion for migrant support

$100 million for combatting child labor exploitation

Here is what is in the request. Most of the money in question is already earmarked for health services, repaying the Pentagon, and judges. Billions are not being spent to bus migrants. Unless the OP can find the actual budget sheet showing the breakdown to prove the billions, the billions comment in the title is sensationalism used to spark an emotion in the reader, usually a negative emotion.

If migrants are legally here, they are not expected to walk to their planned destination. It costs money to transport people. The talk of hard working tax payers paying to train foreigners to take their jobs and underbid their wages is hyperbole.
