I believe there was a literal flood, it just wasn't global.
You can disagree with the bible if you choose to.
If simply a local flood..why build an ark? Simple question.

I repeat: What evidence do you offer to counter the information, methods or conclusions of the two papers I linked to earlier? There's more to it than that.
There is the assumption the erosion rate has been the same for 50,000 years.
There is the assumption that rock varnishing has remained the same.
There is the assumption cosmic ray have always been the same.
Sounds like the 25,000 years age had to be updated to 49,000 years. What's next? 75,000
Jesus thinks so.That presupposes the story of the ark is completely factual ...
If the meteor craters we observe on the Earth were created all at once during the Flood, they would have caused events worldwide. They would have been more detrimental to life than the Flood itself, and the effects would have lasted for decades.
Once again pettiness sets in. You didn't answer the question.
It has only been suggested that an asteroid may have struck the earth and cracked it so the fountains of the deep could be released. If you would like to research it further, click here.
And let me guess. If all nine had been formed in a single year they would have destroyed almost all life on Earth, including Noah and his Ark, without any need for a flood.
Jesus thinks so.
Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
All those gay people washed away.

It makes a nice story, but it is a history that didn't happen. What’s the matter? Are you feeling starved of attention today?
What do you think of this asteroid?
Why was Noah aboard the Ark for over a year?To give the people in the area a chance to survive. Most didn't take it.
It makes a nice story, but it is a history that didn't happen.
As I'm fond of saying:
Without computers nowadays, academia wouldn't be able to keep their lies straight.
Did I say it didn't?It looks like it happened....
The kind of science I blast has nothing to do with the Internet.Pretty common to use computers to keep your "lies straight" these days. Even happens to people who use all of their time blasting science in these forums while using the same technology.
You tell me.Jonathan Walkerin said:Whatever happened to Matthew 6:1
Did I say it didn't?

Your link mentions 110 terrestrial impact structures; the author (Andrew Snelling) suggests that 71 of them were formed during the year of the Flood and 39 during the last 4500 years. He mentions the Acraman structure in Australia, which is 90 km in diameter, but there are other structures, some of them even larger, on other continents, for example Vredefort and Morokweng in Africa, Sudbury and Manicouagan in Canada, Chesapeake Bay in the United States, Chicxulub in Mexico and Popigai and Puchezh-Katunki in Russia. If all nine had been formed in a single year they would have destroyed almost all life on Earth, including Noah and his Ark, without any need for a flood.
You need to demonstrate that the erosion rate is relevant
And let me guess.
Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego died in the fire, I take it?
Incidentally Nebuchadnezzar said:
Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Do you think Jesus was on the Ark with Noah?
Where does the flood account say God gave people a chance to survive? Most didn't take it?To give the people in the area a chance to survive. Most didn't take it.
