Thanks. I'm sure it will. From what I've read on the Internet (which can be a dangerous thing!) replacing a lost filling is a fairly routine procedure and there shouldn't be any problems provided it's not left for too long, and I'm definitely not going to do that.

It's not causing me any pain, so that seems like a good sign, although I am trying to avoid eating with that side of my both in order to minimise the food particles that go onto that tooth, which isn't necessarily that easy. Especially since it's on the right side and being right handed means that my natural instinct is to put food into my mouth on that side.

Fillings can usually last for a long time though. But yours came off after like 5-6 years?

Since he goes there to cut hair, it's only natural to talk to the hairdresser and many hairdressers are usually very friendly and talk a lot. He can have a general conversation with her and get to know her. One conversation can mean a lot... you know..

If you really need to fill up your teeth, then it will be better to do so, wouldn't it? Leaving a hollow space may cause food particles to stay there after eating and when they are not clean off quick enough, it gives room for bacteria to set in which then cause tooth decay later on.

I do have some doubts about the competency of my previous dentist, but apparently it's something that can happen, and there does seem to be a wide range of answers as to how long a filling can be expected to last. An average of 10 years was one figure that Google gave me, so 5-6 would be on the low side but not necessarily a sign of a problem, although I guess I'll find out when I go to the dentist.

Without a doubt. I was just commenting on his wondering whether she was single or not, and a quick check of the left hand is a lot easier to do than mustering up the courage to ask her. Although mustering up the courage is obviously going to be necessary if she's not wearing a ring.

Hmm.. is it more awkward to talk to girls you are interested in (in) some places (like hair salon) for a casual conversation than using online dating to meet someone for a blind date?

I find online dating less awkward, although by the time you actually meet the person it's not really a "blind" date as you have have had a conversation with them through the site/app and you would know a little bit about them based on what they had in their profile. You also know that they're single and actually looking for someone, so presumably they'll be receptive to your advances, which may not necessarily be the case with someone you meet in real life.

And maybe I'm overthinking things a little, but I don't want to be that guy who hits on all the single women they come across. That does have a lot to do with not being particularly good at it as I'm not the best of conversationalists with people I know, let alone someone I've just met, but it's not really in my nature to do that anyway. Ideally I'd like to be able to get to know someone first and before I even think of making an attempt at asking her out, but sadly those opportunities don't happen very often.

At last a few days off after a week straight of work. I looked on the calendar at my desk too before leaving this morning; it looks like I have an entire month before I have to cover another overtime day!
