WHERE DOES IT SAY GOD'S SABBATH IS ABOLSIHED AND WE ARE COMMANDED TO KEEP SUNDAY AS A HOLY DAY?

May the Lord Jesus open your eyes to the fact that "the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came to be realized through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17).

There is no scripture that states the law of Moses does not include the Ten Commandments.

LoveGodsWord, you love your word and using your word to try to manipulate God's Word to attempt at deceiving others with your doctrine of delusion, yet praise be to the Father of lights that the Light pierces the darkness, this post exposes your deceit.

Of paramount relevance, you build your doctrine, your teaching, on your unscriptural foundation of shifting sand. Judaizers confute keeping the Law with the Blood of Christ, and I can write this unabashedly because in this thread a Judaizer wrote "The new covenant is made up of the Moral law", yet the Lord Jesus said "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood" (Luke 22:20). It is Christ that kept the Law, and we in the new covenant of His blood inherit His righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Exhibit one, your words "God's ETERNAL LAW" with your meaning that the Ten Commandments are separate from the Law do not occur in God's Word. Your words with your meaning are a man-made construct. Shame on you for writing that only God's Word matters and in the selfsame post you insert your own words. But, there is more.

Exhibit two, your words "10 commandments they are not the law of MOSES and never have been" demonstrate your subtraction of scripture since Deuteronomy chapter 5 includes the 10 commandments, and let us not forget the words of the Apostle John, "the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came to be realized through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17); therefore, you are in error again. My previous posts stands in the Truth! These errors of yours occur in the very first sentence of your post.

Deuteronomy 5, just prior to the inclusion of the Ten Commandments, starts thusly:

1 Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them:
"Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I am speaking today in your hearing, that you may learn them and observe them carefully. 2 YHVH our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. 3 YHVH did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of us alive here today. 4 YHVH spoke to you face to face at the mountain from the midst of the fire,5while I was standing between YHVH and you at that time, to declare to you the word of YHVH; for you were afraid because of the fire and did not go up the mountain.

Deuteronomy 6, continuing on from chapter 5 - it's start cited above, six starts thusly:

1 "Now this is the commandment, the statutes and the judgments which YHVH your God has commanded me to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you are going over to possess it, 2so that you and your son and your grandson might fear YHVH your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you, all the days of your life, and that your days may be prolonged.

In Deuteronomy 6:2, Moses said "to keep all His statutes and His commandments" thus intimately binding the writings of chapters 5 and 6; in other words, we find a cohesive Law given through Moses (John 1:17) which is the Law of Moses referred to in Acts 15:5.

Let's take a few minutes to look at another episode of Jesus and the Sabbath (I already mentioned one of the Apostle Matthew's recounting a different episode of Jesus and the Sabbath in another post which was Matthew 12:1-8):

For this reason the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the Sabbath. But He answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working." (John 5:16-17).

Jesus is our believers example (John 13:15).

My example, Lord Jesus, made it clear that working on the Sabbath according to the will of God is A-OK. As previously cited, Jesus gives rest (same post as contains the Matthew 12:1-8 citation). Jesus is so very, very kind and loving to fulfill (Matthew 5:17). Now, back to your confutation of Acts 15.

Exhibit three, you wrote "ACTS 15 as shown through the scriptures earlier verse by verse is answering the question; IS CIRCUMCISION from the MOSAIC BOOK of the LAW"; however, Acts 15:5 states 'But some of the sect of the Pharisees who had believed stood up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them and to direct them to observe the Law of Moses"' (Acts 15:5 mentions the same law as John 1:17) which clearly contradicts your words, again!

As the scripture shows, we find the Ten Commandments referenced in the letter in Acts 15. Idolatry and adultery are covered in the letter (Acts 15:29) as well as the Ten Commandments (Deuteronomy 5:8 and Deuteronomy 5:18). The stated purpose of Acts 15:5 is evident. You Judaizers either ignore or try to twist that fact.

You issued 3 questions, all of which are heavily laced with your unscriptural words, again. Much of the above illustrates the salaciousness of your questions.

I repeat, I tell you that there is no scripture that states the law of Moses does not include the Ten Commandments, so you breach in sin the 9th commandment by bearing false witness against Moses and, more intensely, God. You, Judaizers, have an idol - being your words that you try to impose on El Shaddai! Think differently from now on for the Kingdom of God is near!

I do not claim interest in answering the OP. According to the will of God, my interest is proclaiming the truth to you and the other Judaizers. Cry out to Jesus for he is worthy!

And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables (Exodus 32:16).

I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26).

These two passages shows God's work. The first, Exodus, mentions the stone tablets, and the second, Ezekiel, mentions the heart of stone being replaced by the heart of flesh.

May the God of love shine His countenance upon you and draw you in with your tenaciousness.

Forgive me if this has already been asked, but since you are so insistent that Christians must keep Sabbath, I was just curious as to how exactly do you observe the Sabbath? do you keep Sabbath according to all the requirements written in the law, or do you simply not work? I am sincerely curious. Thank you in advance for your answer.

Even the majority of pro-sunday scholarship freely admits that while the moral law of God - that includes all TEN of the ten commandments remains - the ceremonial and civil laws ended when the theocracy ended and ceremonies ended at the cross. (See Hebrews 10)

That is not "unique" to those who keep the Bible Sabbath - it is also held by the Sunday groups.

===============

I am glad these Sunday sources all affirm the Ten Commandments for Christians.

the Westminster Confession of Faith ,

True.

And it also includes

"Love God with all your heart" Deu 6:5
"Love your neighbor as yourself" Lev 19:18
"Honor your father and mother" Ex 20:12

And Paul reminds us that "what matters is keeping the Commandments of God" 1 Cor 7:19 where the "first commandment with a promise" Eph 6:2 is the 5th commandment.

No wonder then "the saints KEEP the Commandments of God and their faith in Jesus" Rev 14:12

After all the NEW Covenant includes "I will write My Law on your heart and mind" Jer 31:31-33

Even in the NT "sin IS transgression of the LAW" 1 John 3:4

Stop going against God's will then .
As if you are a trusted/established authority to tell me what I should or shouldn't be doing in regards to things of God.

Who are you again? What is your doctrine? What are your works?

Anyway, here's scripture to silence your incorrect opinion:

Matthew 5:18-19
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

So as you can see, Christ says the Law still stands, every little part of it, and thus you are to obey every little part of it. What that looks like of course looks different then it used to, as clearly nobody is put to death or like-things. So it takes wisdom to understand how one obeys the Law in these times.

Keeping the law and the Commandments? You are fallen from grace.

Well that has no truth in it. We are only saved by GRACE though faith and not of ourselves, it is a GIFT of GOD and not of works lest any man should boast *EPHESIANS 2:8 No one is telling you or anyone here that we are saved by the works of the law.

WHAT IS GRACE FOR?

Grace is linked to mercy and peace from God the farther and from JESUS in love and truth.

2 JOHN 1:3 [3] Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

ROMANS 1:5 [5], By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name.

We are to grow in God's GRACE and the KNOWLEDGE of our LORD JESUS CHRSIT.

2 PETER 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. *2 PETER 1:2

We do this by seeking JESUS to be our teacher and continuing in God's WORD.

JOHN 14:26 [26], But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I have said to you.

JOHN 8:31-36
[31], Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed;
[32], And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
[33], They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made free?
[34], Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin.
[35], And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the Son stays ever.
[36], If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

TITUS 2:11-12 [11], FOR THE GRACE OF GOD HAS APPEARED BRINGING SALVATION TO ALL MEN, [12], TEACHING US, THAT, DENYING UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY JUSTS, WE SHOULD LIVE SOBERLY, RIGHTOUESLY AND GODLY IN THIS PRESENT WORLD

ROMANS 6:1-2, [1] What shall we say then? SHALL WE SIN [break any one of God's 10 commandments], THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND? God forbid. [2], How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

ROMANS 6:15-17 What then? SHALL WE SIN BECAUSE WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE? GOD FORBID! [16] Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of SIN RESULTING IN DEATH, or of OBEDIENCE resulting in righteousness?

ROMANS 3:31 [31], Do we then make void the law through faith? GOD FORBID: YES, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW.

God's GRACE is given to us because all of us have sinned and are sinners (broken God's 10 Commandments) and the wages of SIN is death *ROMANS 3:23; ROMANS 5:12; ROMANS 6:23.

ROMANS 8:3-4
[3], For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: [4], THAT THE RIGHTOUESNESS OF THE LAW MIGHT BE FULFILLED IN US WHO WALK NOT AFTER THE FLESH BUT AFTER THE SPIRIT.

...................

WORD MEANINGS OF GRACE

GRACE GREEK WORD
χάρις; charis khar'-ece From G5463; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude): - acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace (-ious), joy liberality, pleasure, thank (-s, -worthy).

GRACE HEBREW WORD
חן; chên khane From H2603; graciousness, that is, subjectively kindness, favor or objectively (beauty): - favour, grace (-ious), pleasant, precious, [well-] favoured.

.....................

CONCLUSION: GRACE IS FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH. It is the work of GOD IN US saving us from SIN. Grace is unmerited favour leading to a change of behaviour. God's GRACE IS FOR OBEDIENCE to GOD'S WORD in those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW it to save us from our sins and the penalty of sin (death) and our sinful nature through our LORD JESUS CHRIST!

Therefore the conclusion of the matter is all those who have rejected the gift of God's dear son and continue leading a life in known UNREPENTANT SIN have fallen from Grace.

Hope this helps.

There's no sabbath day in Genesis. You claim there is because the 7th day of creation. You need to note what the text says and only what the text says. The 4th commandment says wherefore which means as a result of.

Rubbish. The SABBATH was made in GENESIS 2:1-3 and is the SEVENTH DAY of the CREATION WEEK that GOD BLESSED and made a HOLY DAY. God's WORD defines the SEVENTH DAY of the week as the SABBATH *EXODUS 20:10.

I'm eternally saved and a child of God. I've fallen from nothing.

Cheers though.

Hello brother Cody nice to see you here and welcome.

Your post is my prayer for you and everyone here in this forum. God however advises us to examine ourselves to see if we really are in the faith *2 CORINTHIANS 13:5. Now if JESUS says to us that all those who FOLLOW the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of GOD are not following GOD *MATTHEW 15:3-9 Where in all of God's WORD does it say that God's 4th commandment has been abolished or no longer a requirement for christians today? If there is no scripture does this not worry you?

God bless

I actually observe Shabbat myself. But in my own way. The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath, as per Jesus' teaching.

But I do believe God's mercy covers those who are His, and so in regards to following the commands of God, we are all in our own personal walk to finding what that looks like, all of us coming from different backgrounds of knowledge and having different amounts of wisdom. So I have no reason to worry for fellow saint's salvation just because they don't see it necessary to observe the Sabbath.

Firstly brother, thanks for your question but let's first get something clear. We are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD *ROMANS 13:8-10; HEBREWS 8:10-12. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

According to God's WORD God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) in the NEW COVENANT give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

God's 4th Commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. According to God's WORD aone, All those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

This is the reason of this OP. JESUS says all those who FOLLOW the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of GOD are not following GOD *MATTHEW 15:3-9.

Now if there is no scripture that says God's 4th commandment is abolished and no commandment that says Sunday is now a HOLY day, who should we BELIEVE and FOLLOW, GOD or man *ROMANS 3:4?

..........

Now your question from your post. YES!

HOW DO WE KEEP THE SABBATH?

WHAT DOES GOD'S 4TH COMMANDMENT SAY?

EXODUS 20:8-11
[8], Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
[9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
[10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
[11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

WHAT DAY IS GOD'S SABBATH?

v10 The SEVENTH DAY of the week. (Saturday)

WHEN DOES THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK START?

GENESIS 1:4-5
[4], And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[5], And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

A day in God's time is the night (darkness) and the light make up one day. The DAY in God's WORD starts at SUNSET and ends the following SUNSET. So God's 4th Commandment Sabbath would start Friday at SUNSET and end Saturday at SUNSET.

ALL UNECCESSARY WORK TO BE DONE BEFORE FRIDAY SUNSET

EXODUS 16:22-23
[22], And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
[23], And he said to them, This is that which the LORD has said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath to the LORD: bake that which you will bake to day, and seethe that you will seethe; and that which remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

MARK 15:42, And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath

The preparation day is the 6th day of the week. This includes preparing to stop all business and secular work as well as any domestic work; cooking, cleaning; shopping, buying and selling that can be done on any other day of the week.

IT IS LAWFUL TO DO GOOD ON THE SABBATH?

MATTHEW 12:5-12
[5], Or have you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
[6], But I say to you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
[7], But if you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless.
[8], For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day
[9], And when he was departed from there, he went into their synagogue:
[10], And, behold, there was a man who had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
[11], And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
[12], How much then is a man better than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

MARK 2:27, And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath

It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.

WHAT IS LAWFUL ON GOD'S SABBATH?

1. Remembering the creator and his creation (Exod 20:8-11)
2. Rest from all unnecessary work (Ecodus 20:10-11)
3. Doing good (Matt 12:12)
4. Prayer (Acts 16:13; Matt 21:13)
5. Worship the creator (Isaiah 58:13-14; Ex 34:14; 1KING 9:6; Rev 14:6-12)

Song, praise, bible study, helping others, preaching the gospel, resting, prayer, seeking God, remembering the creator and his creation. Walking in nature, going to church with like minded believers. (too many scriptures)

WHAT IS NOT LAWFUL ON GOD'S SABBATH?

WORK; all business and secular work as well as any domestic work; cooking, cleaning; shopping, buying and selling that can be done on any other day of the week and anything to do with work (Exodus 20:8-11; Ex 16:22-23; Matt 21:13).

.............

There is no purpose in FOLLOWING any of God's LAWs including the SABBATH if it is NOT done through FAITH that works by LOVE because it is ONLY as GOD writes his LAW to LOVE then we can take up our beds to follow him. LOVE is the fulfilling of GOd's LAW in those who BELIEVE (Rom 13:8-10). We follow JESUS because we LOVE him not because we believe are saved by what we do because we are all sinners in need of a Saviour and we can do nothing without God's Spirit working in and through us as we BELIEVE God's WORD.

God bless

Absolutly Cody, good post. For me I believe God's people are in every Church. The Christian walk is a growing experience as God teaches us his WORD. As long as we are living up to all the knowledge Gid has revealed to us then we are God's people where ever we may be. God expects us to change as he reveals the truth of his Word to us so that we can have a closer walk with him and follow him. God is a Spirit and those who worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth. God is calling his people back to follow him according to his Word and in times of Ignorance God winks at but when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come calls all men everywhere to repent and believe his Word *ACTS 17:30-31. Thanks for sharing Cody,

God bless

LOVE is the fulfilling of GOd's LAW in those who BELIEVE (Rom 13:8-10)

God bless

Hello brother NeedyFollower, nice to meet you and thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I like your name title. I think I am also a needy follower. I can do nothing without JESUS.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts here. It seems that we have a similar view of History in some of the examples you outline above. However, where does it say as you have claimed above in God's WORD that Sunday worship is a commandment of God? How do you get Sunday out of the scripture this is the day that the Lord has made?

According to God's WORD brother We are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD.

God's WORD however says that God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. According to God's WORD, ALL those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23. OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD *PHILIPPIANS 2:13. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

JESUS says all those who KNOWINGLY follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9.

I personally believe God has his people in ALL Churches and is calling them out to worship according to his WORD in Spirit and in TRUTH *JOHN 10:16; JOHN 4:21-24; REVELATION 18:1:4.

Back to the OP. Where in God's WORD does it say that God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are NOW COMMANDED to keep SUNDAY as a HOLY DAY?

Who should we BELIEVE and FOLLOW, the teachings and traditions of men that break the Commandments of God or the WORD of GOD?

God's Sheep hear his Voice (the WORD).

God bless.
Thanks Brother ...When Jesus told the woman at the well , the hour is coming and now is , when true worshipers will worship in spirit and in truth , for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him . For God is Spirit and His worshipers must worship Him in Spirit and Truth .
The fourth commandment was never abolished and yet it is often filled by the letter and not the spirit . It can and only be fulfilled by the spirit of Christ who dwells in us. No man knows the Son save the Father and neither does any know the Father save the Son and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal Him .
So as Christ only fulfilled the Law , we can only worship through the Son . And just as 7 is better than one , we worship in spirit and truth every day . Do we not also fulfill the one day by abiding in Christ and He in us every day ? This is what Paul described and lived . We are to endeavor for the faith once delivered to the saints . At the end of time in the new heavens and the new earth , which day will we worship ? There will only be one day ..Jesus will be and IS now that day . I realize that there are some who esteem one day above another . There are many for the love of Christ , have sacrificed all ...even their lives ...shall I bump them out of the way because I observed the correct day ? This is a very real danger. ....we compare ourselves among ourselves . ( And every single denomination does it . )
For example , I think it proper , lovely , modest and scriptural for a woman to pray with her head covered and yet I am aware that many of our sisters have sacrificed all because of their love without wearing a covering . Similarly , there are sisters who have fulfilled the letter of that understanding but have failed in love and obedience . It is like Paul saying that the Jews circumcision has become uncircumcision because they failed in love . Theology can be a killer . Grace and Peace in Jesus .

Hello brother Kermos, thanks for posting your thoughts here. Some comments are provided below for your consideration.
May the Lord Jesus open your eyes to the fact that "the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came to be realized through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17).
Where have I ever posted that God did not give his law to Moses? If I have never said that God did not give his law to Moses why do you pretend here that I have? I have only stated to you and anyone else here that God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is the work of God alone the same as the SHADOW laws written in the BOOK of the law by was the work of MOSES guided by God's Spirit.
There is no scripture that states the law of Moses does not include the Ten Commandments.
Where have I ever posted that God's ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) is not referred to in the BOOK of the law of MOSES? If I have never said that God did not give his law to Moses why do you pretend here that I have? It is the BOOK of the law that states that GOD'S ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) is not the law of MOSES but the work of GOD alone, spoken and written by God unlike the BOOK of the law which is the work of MOSES and written and spoken by Moses.
LoveGodsWord, you love your word and using your word to try to manipulate God's Word to attempt at deceiving others with your doctrine of delusion, yet praise be to the Father of lights that the Light pierces the darkness, this post exposes your deceit.
Rubbish. God's WORD is only provided to show God's truth. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it *ROMANS 3:4. JESUS says all those who follow the teachings and traditions of men are not following God not me *MATTHEW 15:3-9. Now brother prove from the word of God alone that I have said anything here to decieve others. If you cannot then why pretend that I have? This is only bearing false witness on your behalf as I have only provided God's WORD and have asked for God's WORD in response to the questions in this OP. If you have God's WORD then share it. If you do not have God's WORD then you only have your own words that argue with God's WORD. Where is the scriptures that say God's 4th commandment have been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? 28 pages so far and not a single scripture. Does this not worry you?

The rest of your post will be answered section by section in detail in smaller posts to come.

Hope this helps.

Of paramount relevance, you build your doctrine, your teaching, on your unscriptural foundation of shifting sand.
Your words brother are not God's WORD. Do you have any scripture to share? I guess not.
Firstly brother, let's first get something clear. God's WORD does not teach lawlessness. We are all only saved by the blood of JESUS and we are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8.*EPHESIANS 2:8.

More to come...

Hope this helps

Exhibit one, your words "God's ETERNAL LAW" with your meaning that the Ten Commandments are separate from the Law do not occur in God's Word. Your words with your meaning are a man-made construct. Shame on you for writing that only God's Word matters and in the selfsame post you insert your own words. But, there is more.

Well that statement has no truth in it brother.

That is like some other arguments I have hear here where people try and say because a scripture does not say Ten Commandments it is not referring to the ten commandments when individual commandments from the 10 commandments are being quoted in the scriptures in question.

Now let's bring your claims here to the light of God's WORD and let God's WORD judge what you are claiming shall we? Your claim is that God's LAW (10 Commandments) are not ETERNAL right? What does God's WORD say about GOD'S LAW (10 commandment) that were spoken by GOD and written with God's own finger on tables of Stone?

1. God's Law (10 Commandments) was spoken alone by God himself to His people *EXODUS 20:1-22.

Did GOD directly speak the 10 commandments with his own words YES/NO? If YES then according to the scriptures does God's WORD pass away YES/NO?

Jesus says Heaven and earth shall pass away, BUT MY WORDS SHALL NOT PASS AWAY MATTHEW 25:35.

ISAIAH 40:8 [8], The grass wither, the flower fades: but THE WORD OF THE LORD OF OUR GOD SHALL ENDURE FOREVER.

1 PETER 1:25, But THE WORD OF THE LORD ENDURES FOREVER [EVERLASTING WORD OF GOD]. And this is the word which by the GOSPEL [GOOD NEWS] is preached unto you.

LUKE 21:33, Heaven and earth shall pass away: BUT MY WORDS SHALL NOT PASS AWAY [EVERLASTING WORD OF GOD].

............

2. According to God's WORD, God's LAW (10 Commandments) in the NEW COVENANT give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. God's WORD also says..

PSALMS 119:142-143 Your RIGHTOEUSNES is an EVERLASTING RIGHTEOUSNESS, and Your law is truth. Trouble and anguish have overtaken me, yet Your commandments are my delights.

Clearly the scripture here states that God's RIGHTOUESNESS IS EVERLASTING (ETERNALAL). God's WORD then defines what RIGHTOUESNESS is.

PSALMS 119:172 My tongue shall speak of your word for ALL YOUR COMMANDMENTS ARE RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Now if God's RIGHTOUESNESS is EVERLASTING and God's WORD DEFINES God's RIGHTESOUNESS as ALL OF GOD'S COMMANDMENTS, then God's COMMANDMENTS are EVERLASTING (ETERNAL).

...........

3. God's LAW (10 COMMANDMENTS) were not only the SPOKEN WORD of GOD that God's WORD says is eternal, it is the WORK of GOD alone written with God's own finger on tables of stone.

EXODUS 32:16, And THE TABLES WERE THE WORK OF GOD, AND THE WRITING WAS THE WRITING OF GOD, graven on the tables.

Clearly God's word shows that God is the author and maker of the 10 commandments. They are the WORK of GOD alone. What does God's WORD say about what GOD does?

ECCLESIASTES 3:14, I know that, WHATSOEVER GOD DOES, IT SHALL BE FOREVER: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God does it, that men should fear before him.

Did God make the 10 commandments YES/NO? Are the 10 Commandments the work of God alone YES/NO? If YES do you believe God's WORD that says WHATSOEVER GOD DOES, IT SHALL BE FOREVER? God's LAW (10 Commandments) is the WORK of GOD alone and God's WORD alone once again says that GOD'S LAW is FOREVER (ETERNAL).

Sorry brother God's WORD disagrees with you.

More to follow.........

Hope this helps.

Well these statements have no truth in it brother. Let's see why from God's WORD?
Exhibit two, your words "10 commandments they are not the law of MOSES and never have been" demonstrate your subtraction of scripture since Deuteronomy chapter 5 includes the 10 commandments, and let us not forget the words of the Apostle John, "the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came to be realized through Jesus Christ" (John 1:17); therefore, you are in error again. My previous posts stands in the Truth! These errors of yours occur in the very first sentence of your post.
Now brother, please show me where I have ever posted that God's 10 commandments are not written and referred to in the MOSAIC BOOK of the law from the OLD COVENANT *DEUTERONOMY 31:24-26; EXODUS 24:7? Please also show me anywhere where I have ever posted that God's 10 Commandments written on stone were not given to MOSES to give to God's people? Now brother if I have never made these claims that you are saying why do you pretend that I have? Your only building strawman arguments that no one is arguing about. If no one has ever said the things you are claiming then you have no argument now do you. If you have no argument then why argue things no one is talking about?

As always stated all through this forum and thread GOD'S ETERNAL LAW as defined through God's WORD (EXODUS 20:1-17; MATTHEW 25:35; ISAIAH 40:8; 1 PETER 1:25; LUKE 21:33; PSALMS 119:142-143; PSALMS 119:172; EXODUS 32:16; ECCLESIASTES 3:14) is the work of GOD alone and was the SPOKEN WORD of GOD, made and written with God's own finger on tables of stone *EXODUS 32:16; EXODUS 20:1-17.

This is why it is referred to as God's LAW. He is the author and maker and owner of the 10 Commandments *EXODUS 32:16. These and not the laws of MOSES that were written by Moses to accompany God's ETERNAL LAW. The SHADOW laws of MOSES were the work of MOSES, written and spoken by MOSES. The MOSAIC law is called the BOOK of the law and the law of MOSES because Moses authored it under God's direction to accampany God's ETERNAL LAW in the ARK of the COVENANT * DEUTERONOMY 10:5; DEUTERONOMY 31:24-26.
Deuteronomy 5, just prior to the inclusion of the Ten Commandments, starts thusly: 1 Then Moses summoned all Israel and said to them:

Yes brother  Soo your point here is???
In Deuteronomy 6:2, Moses said "to keep all His statutes and His commandments" thus intimately binding the writings of chapters 5 and 6; in other words, we find a cohesive Law given through Moses (John 1:17) which is the Law of Moses referred to in Acts 15:5.

Brother DEUTERONOMY 6:2 did not say to keep his statutes and commandments. The HIS is referring to God's.

DEUTERONOMY 6:1-2 says;
[1], Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land where you go to possess it:
[2], That you might fear the LORD your God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

The OLD COVENANT included both God's ETERNAL LAW (10 Commandments) and the SHADOW laws written in the MOSAIC BOOK of the law *EXODUS 34:28; EXODUS 24:7. Your trying to make arguments no one is making. If no one has ever said to you that the OLD COVENANT did not include God's 10 commandments why pretend that they have?

As shown through the scriptures in detail already in ACTS 15 the law of MOSES is not God's ETERNAL LAW (10 commandments) and the shadow law of CIRCUMCISION from the MOSAIC BOOK of the law is not one of God's 10 Commnandment that give us the knowledge of what SIN is when broken.

Still more to come...

Hope this helps.

Your confused brother. JESUS never broke the SABBATH. He was the LORD of the SABBATH and came to teach us how to keep the SABBATH. This is clealy stated in MATTHEW 12:1-12 where JESUS shows that it is lawful to do GOOD on the SABBATH and acts of mercy.

God's 4th Commandment of the 10 Commandments states;

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY [Made Holy at creation GENESIS 2:3]. [9], Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: [10], But THE SEVENTH DAY [ Genesis 2:1-3] IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD YOUR GOD : in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: [WHY?] [11], FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM IS, AND RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY; WHEREFORE THE LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY AND MADE IT HOLY. [Refering to GENESIS 2:1-3]

Doing GOD'S WORK is NOT what the 4th Commandment is talking about please read it.

God's 4th Commandments says we are NOT to do OUR OWN WORK. Yep NO secular business or paid work, no unnecessary domestic work, no buying and selling, shopping. This can be done on the other days of the week. God has made the SEVENTH DAY a HOLY DAY and we are to REST in HIM by FAITH in the LORD of the SABBATH. This is the 4th Commandment and one of the God's 10.

If JESUS broke the 4th commandment then he could not be our perfect sacrifice.

Can you see your error here brother?

Hope this helps.
