The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Feeling really stupid. I just spent a week and a half making sporadic attempts in vain to download and install a program for my homework. I couldn't get it to work, and now I've discovered the problem was as simple as extracting the files before running the install.
Computer programs can be frustrating to install. At least you found a solution to the problem, so you don't have to feel that silly. Really it happens to the best of us.

thank you all I'm good so far just been tired and sinuses been kicking my tail lately we been having major wind here in N Texas in the states for those who live in the UK and other locations. it's been cold and damp one day and sun the next or both in same day. depression has got me bleh at times makes me want to sleep n not eat much or if I sleep well then it's feeling dragging in day time so I don't know how get any energy to do much..

Feeling hollow today and slightly nauseous. i've had this hollow feeling for the last week, though yesterday hardly so. It is dull, empty, absent and quiet in my mind, a very boring sensation - not down the dumps fighting negative feelings but living in this hollow empty space. i haven't been enjoying it.
The grand kids are all back home again and Yvonne is at work again. It is going to be a warm day today. The sun is shinning brightly outside.

the thought of suicide has slowly been decreasing over time for the past several months. However, now I'm more emotional and less numb. God has given me so much but I'm still so unhappy.

A thankfully loving heart grows a strong and content heart in the long run. Please remember that unhappy has grown into our lives because of years of depression and then it takes also years to grow free from its misery.
i'm glad that thoughts of suicide have lessened at least, now lets pray and hope some good life begins to come back again.
