HEY IS THIS WHOLE WHITAKER THING BLATANT OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE, OR WHAT?

It was an allegory, an image used to reference an actual truth. Interpreting allegories isn't hard, however, just to be of service...

The overwhelming majority of the criticism targeted at Trump, the First Lady, their children, and indeed most any Republican or Conservative figure, is crafted from, reflects, and is rife with the gutter mentality typical of the liberal/progressive left. Within that majority a sizable percentage of the criticism amounts to nothing more than lies. Thus the imagery of dropping a resume into any sewer and it will get to the right people.
