Finally responding to the pushback against his Patriarchate’s unilateral actions in Ukraine, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has insisted that he will not back down in Ukraine, meaning he will continue to work towards creating an autocephalous Church in Ukraine, although the nation is already the canonical territory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church under the headship of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine.

There won't be any autocephaly. Makary the leader of the smaller sect has said EP should just appoint his own Metropolitan because him and Filaret cant get along. Funny line how EP says, our brothers the Slavs cant tolerate the primacy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and "our genus" in world-wide Orthodoxy. Lol

This is just awful...

There is a reason that again and again in the Divine Liturgy we pray for our clergy. They are under FIERCE attack by dark powers. Ask Metropolitan Jonah! This EP is under diabolical onslaught. Deluded and lost, and he is inflicting awful damage!!! Lord have mercy on our clergy....ALL of them, and may the Theotokos protect us!!

... Not hearing very good things about Jonah these days either (though, admittedly, I have no idea if any of what I heard is true). But hearing and seeing unfathomably abundant good things about Mary the Theotokos! Glory to God!

... and may the grace of her Son come to rest upon our bishops.

Why do these media outlets always use photos that make these guys appear so uptight and Pharisaical, with these stern grimaces and such? Looks like a darned political campaign photo. Heck, we could sketch a caricature of this one and give it to Jack Chick to put in one of his "the Orthodox Church is the harlot of Babylon, and here's an actual image of the evil pharisee to prove it" tracts.

I wouldn't be so quick to believe every picture that others, who may have certain agendas and may even be acting under the influence of malevolent spirits, try to impress upon us. Be careful, is all I'm saying. Things are seldom as they might appear.
