I ask that everyone please pray for my son. He is currently having a difficult time overcoming a drug addiction, and it pains me to see the toll it has taken on his body and on his life.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I pray with you, my son is on the same path....though at this moment he is realizing he is in need of help. I lift up our son's together - to the God whose arm is not shortened that it cannot save, where there is no pit deep enough that He cannot pluck out lost ones. I ask that they be covered in a blanket of protection - in that what the enemy means for their harm and destruction - We believe that God will use for His good, for their good. I pray that the voices that lie to them day in and day out, will be silenced and that the Holy Spirit would speak truth and the Angels would minister to them in their need now. Give to them a dream! Give to them a vision, that will alter the perspective they have - and where they would see that the Lord is for them. We stand together, and will declare that Jesus is Lord over them, and that He will have His way! Amen!

I pray for the above mentioned people that the Lord free them from the bondage of slavery to this addiction and bring captivity captive in their lives. May he also keep them from those who would lead them in a way that is not good.
