OOC: It's interesting way to think about it. In my mind it'd be light and narrow versus dark and wide. Narrow is a straighter path, but allows for less to be taken with you; but wide allows for more while the path is full of twists and turns. If the stranger is homeless, starved or poor as expected by the question; I'd give a fish and teach to fish, initially providing what they need for the present and future.

Blank: Good. But for some people the narrow path could be way darker, having to go through so many hardships in their life, potentially allows for doubts. The real point of that question of crossroads is if it turns out that way for you, and you knew ahead of time, would you still walk that path? An example would be a time traveler, who knows what the future holds, and knows what he or she has to go through to achieve it, because he or she already has been through it and going back in time to warn his or her past self, but also telling his or her past self to go through it anyway, because what he or she becomes is greater than he or she is now, in the past.

The next stage of this exam is supposed to be all of the characters talking together about the all of the exam so far, should we commence? Or would you prefer to go to the final exam, The Masquerade of Knowledge.

OOC: You make a great point, it's not as simple as I thought. People have their own circumstances and perspectives. It's something I think would be good for us to consider when trying to understand.

If there's more to this part of the exam, lets continue with it.

OOC: Let us move on to the room shall we? The next stage of this exam is to let our characters discuss how they feel about the test so far.

*Blank snaps his fingers and all linked characters are immediately sent to a room.*

Blank: "I'll start! Mister, how did you feel about the test?"

Mister: "The questions were stimulative as it touched at the core of our character. Not only, but also ourselves in relation to life. An example is how I answered, it was clear and direct; reflecting my honest character to life's truth." *Internally scratches his head--nods his head approvingly!*

Blake: So why are we here, master?

Blank: To discuss the test so far, and how you feel about it.

Coleton: Discuss? Like our feelings about what happened so far?

Blank: Yes, exactly. It's supposed to loosen you all up before the next test.

OOC: The point of this stage of the exam is to further our own character's perception of other characters, sort of like them talking to each other. An example would be:

Coleton asked Mister who he was, and where Sachar is. Because Coleton the character never met Mister other than just now or Blake for that matter. Let our characters get to know one another, and develop a sort of soul for them.

Coleton: "Hey, who are you?" *Coleton said looking at Mister* "Where's Sachar?"

Blake: "Who is Sachar?"

OOC: As we go along, we should see life in our characters. The true Character Master is one who creates and breathes, sort of, Life into his or her Characters, as if they were real.

OOC: Forgive my delay posting, the days flew by me.

Mister: "Hello there, Sir! I'm here as a disciple of the physical arts, competed quite successfully in the previous test of this exam. Others fought and lost, but I must say it was Blake and me who stolen the tournament; our rounds were majestic in deed. Curiously I followed the whole tournament, and by Brotherly Spirit we know of each other; but I not personally met the fellow, but his match with Coleton; *Remembers otherwise, embarrassingly quick to correct.* OH, yes, it was Blank; excuse me as I just hear news and not there myself. Guess he didn't advance himself as an participant, such a shame is it not Blake, as he seemed to have a spark for life?"

OOC: Very good directing of the exam, I understand the need to bring my character to life. More dialogue with the other characters would help, especially this part when it's less physical interaction. Thanks for the advice.

Coleton: Blank when did you fight Sachar?

Blank: I didn't You did. I don't participate in fights, I'm way too overpowered. Mister I agree, your fight with Blake was one of a kind. And Blake, Sachar was Coleton's opponent in the first two rounds of the tournament. The first round Coleton won, at a cost. The second round Sachar won. After that you and Mister fought.

Blake: Oh, cool. One more question though. Mister, how did you get as strong as you are, what was your training method? I had two masters that trained me two different ways, and I learned from both of them. Who taught you? Or did you learn on your own?

OOC: It was Coleton who faced Sachar, and when Coleton noticed Sachar wasn't there he asked where he was, sorry if I confused you. Blake was just asking who Sachar was, since he had never met him, and Coleton asked.

Mister: *Feeling a dent in his armor, the warrior in him felt the hit of embarrassment; trying to hide retreating to a stern response.* "Sir, I stand corrected; now let's have ourselves an insightful conversation. The fact is this tournament was a great display of our talents and skills. They're great fighters who should be commended. None here could disagree, am I right?" *Asking rhetorically, he hopefully shifted to the next question. Curious for approval of himself, partially he wondered wanting them to answer.*

"OH, yes; not a single fighter is untrained, least not if he's capable. Personally I began as a disciple of a high mountain monk, he lives among few others living a disciplined life. Since my initial bout there, I've furthered my training by disciplining myself as taught. We believe the only way is by show and practice, which for us is fighting a worthy opponent without restrain." *Turns looking at Blake with a brightly lit face of excitement.* "Here is a man who pushed me to my limits. I gave everything to ensure a great fight. Now I can examine in the after my strengths, how it is I can change for my next fight. Sir, I hope as much is learned from our fight as it was for me; what do you say young man?

Blake: I learned a lot! It was fun too, you pushed me to be my very best time and time again during our fight. Though I lost I still gained the experience I needed to move forward thanks to you.

Coleton: It must have been a good fight.

Blank: It was.

Coleton: Hey Blank, how did you get so overpowered? I mean, you didn't participate in the tournament because you are too strong, right?

Blank: Poster Coleton, directing this question to you would be perfect.

OOC: He asked God. He realized as a Christian he could have anything righteous he asked for, and he asked. Of course it was years before he actually got his power.

Any way, Brotherly Spirit isn't it time we got more involved with our characters, maybe talked to them a bit more, from our perspective? I'm thinking that would add to the depth of the characters. If we combined our character's talking with our talking to them it would add a layer of depth to the story, right?

OOC: I agree it add depth to the characters as I read your characters' dialogue. It was smart of you to create multiple characters and forward them through the exam. Not sure it makes sense for "Out of Character" to be included as one of the characters.

According to Wikihow: How to Role-play Online (Step 7, it has "IC" as a term for "In Character"; which we could use to not confuse ourselves with "OOC." When we're speaking out of character to each other, it's OOC; then when it's in character to characters it's IC. Seems the simplest way to do it, agreed? I'll continue with the first part of your last OOC, treating it as IC; letting your know so I don't confuse you. Also changing my role-playing style, no action indicators and using multiple hyphens instead of periods for delayed speech; as it's what I saw reading a book.

IC: Caught off guard as he didn't expect to involve himself. His eyes crisscross as he tried think on his feet, not wanting to embarrass himself as Mister did. Luckily for him, a light bulb moment! A thought popped into mind, "KISS!"; it's not the mushy kind either, but a reminder to keep it simple. "Hello Coleton--wait you have the same name as him; is Poster a professional title like Doctor or your first name?" He asked looking puzzled, his face as twisted as his eyes were. An eyebrow lifted slightly higher than the other, raising one side of his face and with a tilted head; not sure himself if he was curious or confused.

Mister: "Sir! Obviously it's a title of sorts, a known man who's expertise is the written language." Spoken as if he's an expert himself, doubtfully when his life has consisted of none but breathing the life of the physical arts. When would he have time, unless there's more to him than know. So while it may be, he continued speaking: "As for the untitled Coleton--plain Coleton, sure sound fierce; it must be your faith in God, which I have also. Causes me to wonder what else we have in common, perks my curiosity. What steps did you take for such greatness before mere men?

Coleton: "Steps? Well, Mister. I'll tell you exactly how. The truth is I'm the Coleton from a possible future that hasn't happened yet. When I reached a point in my life where I had to choose, I chose God. After that I went and put myself through seven years of my own physical, mental, and spiritual training program, where I discovered the secrets of life, death, and much, much more. That's where I learned how to use my own soul as a power source, and to trust in God way more than I used too."

IC: "Will I ever achieve that?"

Blank: "No."

IC: "How do you know?"

Blank: "I have no limit, remember?"

IC: "Anyway, Brotherly Spirit, Blank, What do the two of you think about the exam so far?

Blank: I've only judged so far until now but I've definitely enjoyed what I've seen so far, you could write me better, but you're learning, other than that I see no reason why we all wouldn't have enjoyed it.

Mister: More than surprised but shockingly paralyzed where he stood. As he tried to believe the possibility it only caused him a worsening headache. "Dear sir--are you--honestly, what I'm trying to say is if this is true then life truly is a wonder. Inspirational to my soul trying to ponder such, may I attain your discipline to reach glorious heights; but I must learn to trust God you say, that's the path!"

IC: Now less doubtful about himself, as he heard Coleton's background story; which caused a change of mind to one of hope. He even agreed somewhat with Mister, but completely about God's path existing for them to walk; from the beginning to the end. "Never thought I'd say this Mister, truer words never spoken in my life. Let God bless us with his wisdom in life!

Blank this exam has gathered us here as we seek greater understanding and purpose, it has brought the participants to and beyond their limits as it tested their resolve as competitors. I've been a witness to amazing things and continue to be amazed by this conversation. It's great for growth of character for all involved, even for those observing from the outside!"

Coleton: "Mister, it's not difficult, the training I went through lasted seven years, I meditated day and night on God's Word and promises and I obeyed him and put him first in everything I did. My program wasn't that difficult after I learned to do it as if I were doing it for the Lord. The important thing is to never give up. But if you want to achieve it, you have to do it on your own, all of my power stems from a relationship with God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, you could do what I did, but it's different for different people.

My seven years of Spiritual, Mental, and Physical Training were only to put effort towards my prayers, and to become closer and closer to a relationship with God. You could do seven years of your own training, but I cannot guarantee that that would work for you. It is possible, Mister. You can achieve power beyond your own imagination, just remember that power is a gift from God, and it belongs to him.

Blank: Truth be told, I got my power as a gift from God. I saw three visions, and later in life, received what I saw.

IC: I see visions sometimes too, IRL! That's cool that you do too Blank!

Blank: Yeah. Anyway, let's keep up with this rate of participation, as it's time to move forward to the Masquerade of Knowledge.

IC: Already?

Blank: Yeah.

Mister: "So continue as I've been in my discipline. Surely I can craft myself toward achieving it," said conceitedly; his voice well-spoken like a high class gentleman, hands carefully motioned with one arm up and out, the other bent with a hand on his heart.

IC: Tries his best not to judge Mister; thinking, "He has a questionable char--" Stops himself before questioning the character of another, something he believes is wrong; wouldn't want others to unfairly judge him. So reluctantly decides to advice him, "Mister you need to spiritually train, this requires more than what you do; but how you approach it."

Mister: "Eventually through trail and error I'll find what I seek! Now let's not hinder the exam with talk, time to advance as Blank stated."

OOC: You have visions in real life?

OOC: Yeah, I've had quite a few visions in my lifetime. Four of them were of a person like my character Blank.

Blank: The Masquerade of Knowledge is a Character Based Exam, I will ask a Character to describe themselves, and that character has to do so from their perspective. not the perspective of the poster.

Firstly link your characters, and we'll continue further.

Mister: Feeling eased by the last part of the exam; who knows him better than him, he thought. "Let me start by the obvious, my attire is an honor to ancient warriors; they lived in a world simpler than our own, yet greater the quests and mortal dangers. All they had were themselves, a man had to prepare himself for such a world of war; quick on their feet wearing light armor and deadly at first notice with a SLASH and DASH! Not as today, it was handy close combat; an enduring test of your will, also your talents and skills.

"Personally I wield the sword as an symbolic example to my foes; as a tribute to my cleverness, hidden chained daggers and powder bombs. I'll warn you, who knows what else." All eager throughout; though the end was more sinister with a squinting of the eyes, slight smirk and lowering of his voice.

"So you know, I sought the lands for old souls of warriors past; it was there I found a small community of swordsmen and ninjas on an isolated island. Every man for himself was their credo, I had to earn their respect; years they let me observe them, before finally hands on training by combat. During this great period a new man was born, developing a style combined of sword and star. The losses were victories itself as new life was beaten into me; each loss was followed eagerly with long days of meditation and eventual challenge against another.

"His eyes start watering and voice trembles, "The day came when my efforts paid; a deadly combo of dashing my opponent as I unsheathed my sword, but not a slash was had for I threw it like a torpedo and roundabout as I whirled daggers slicing and dicing; the finish was the chains wrapping him neck to knees, I went for the ki--well that's enough I suppose."

Blank: Wow, what a history! Blake you are up now remember to be as descriptive as you can.

Blake: My history right?

Blank: Yeah, go for it.

Blake: The truth is I was nothing before I met Samuel, and he hid me from that satanic cult. Just a simple human, without any skills or talents, at least not for martial arts. The reason they were after me, was because I destroyed their demonic artifact, that they believed was the source of their power, the real truth is I was invited to that cult, and took part in it before I realized that what they were doing was seriously messed up. They were sacrificing humans in a hidden part of the cellar, and I found them out. So I destroyed their demonic artifact, and ran for my life. They almost caught me before I ran deep into the rainforest, that's where I came across the cave, I went in to hide, and I found a man waiting there.

That man was my future master Samuel. He hid me in the cave, and eventually they gave up the search for me, but not before hours upon hours had already passed. During that time Samuel spoke to me, and asked me a few things. He told me I wouldn't have to run forever, it was only later on that I realized that I was running from God's plan for me.

So he trained me, and it took awhile, but I mastered a secret martial art, only known by a few people. Eventually years passed and my training was officially complete. So I went home, back to the city, and that's where I met Blank.

The world I had known had changed, and Blank was the only hero around people could look up to. The world's first Christian Superhero, that doesn't go unnoticed, at least not for very long. I saw some people trying to do something very bad, and decided to stop them with my new skills, but before I knew it, Blank had already jumped in. And that's when I saw it, Blank didn't fight them at all, but they all saw the same light, and somehow lost the will to do evil.

They left, and I saw Blank, and I went towards him, and he gave me my new sword, he said it would help a lot, as if he already knew who I was. He taught me how to fight in a new way, and he helped me learn to protect others even at the cost of my own life.

Blank was the one who found my mom, and led me back to her, and helped me to see things a lot differently. My world wasn't just fight for my own life anymore, it was to protect other lives.

There's a lot more but I've already said a lot. I hope that's good enough.

Blank: It was, Blake.

So now to declare the winner! Winning with a total of 27 points is.....Brotherly Spirit!!!!

Congratulations! You are now officially the Character Master!

OOC: Wow that whole thing went by a lot faster than I expected. Good Job, friend! Now we try to revive Christia. Starting tomorrow, be ready with a character or two made for it.

I had a lot of fun! Thanks for Roleplaying with me!
