I downloaded a 400 page document from a number of respected scientists who went to great lengths to show that evolution is a load of trollop. Unless your fingers are broken and cannot use a keyboard, you can look up the link on Google for yourself.

No, you downloaded a bunch of garbage. There are no "respected scientists" that can refute the theory of evolution. And if they were even close to being "respected" they would know it too.

New ideas in science are introduced through peer review. Creationists avoid real peer review because their ideas are so incredibly wrong.

But I tell you what. Bring up their claims one at a time and they will be refuted here.

Did this document talk about how modern evolutionary biology is an applied science with real-world applications in various fields including medical research, pharmacology, agriculture, pathology, conservation biology, etc? And thus, real-world impacts on human health, well-being and economy?

I do get tired of endless Gish Gallops. In fact when someone presents one I like to point out what they did and that if they use that technique then refuting one refutes them all. I would rather have them try to bring them up one at a time and endlessly show why and how each one is wrong.

Frustrating, I know - but every now and then, I have a bunch of hours to sit down & research a worthy response. So, tonight, it's this one and @Jason0047's last response to me, getting the monopoly on my spare time...

after all, it'll just be a parrot of some website light on facts, designed for the blinkered believer to prop up their already held beliefs.

I will posit right now that there aren't ANY scientists working in the appropriate fields that have contributed peer reviewed research disputing the Theory of Evolution that can't be countered with actual evidence. I await your reply....

They talk science, until it's time to investigate before they communicate, then they make science take a hike.

They can show you elaborate flow charts of how the scientific method works, but their posting style shows that all it is is elaborate paperwork.

I don't buy the idea that theists really believe that after death, a "better place" awaits and that one day (after your own death) you'll be reunited.

If theists would REALLY believe that, then they wouldn't experience the death of a loved one, not like the rest of us do.

Then it would be more like when my child moves to China, the other side of the world.
I'ld miss my child and it would be a long time before I'll see him/her again.

Whereas in death, I won't see him/her again and I will experience it as "the end". So I'll be hurt much, be very sad and cry my eyes out.

So theists can say what they wish about death and after that... the fact is that their behaviour in the real world does not reflect such beliefs at all.
