I thought this up back in college and asked a few people back then what they would do. So, first off, this assumes a post-trib rapture and the question is posed to believing Christians. The scenario is that God gives you something like a push button remote or other mechanism, and tells you that the 7-year tribulation will begin immediately when that button is pushed. He gives the decision to you and wants you to be the one to choose the day and the hour.

So the simple poll question is...

When would you opt to initiate the end of the world?

I would wait until a specific date/age (specify in your post) before I started it so that the Father's Will be fulfilled.

For the Father has fixed a day.

"Because He has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”

And that day which is "fixed", can be backspaced 1000 years where it can be found that the sun will be "darkened" and the moon will not give her light.

And the "darkened" sun day can be backspaced 1260 days to the start of the "appointed time", of the end.

The start of the tribulation is at a time "appointed".

The tribulation period is only 3 1/2 years, since the 7th trumpet and the time of the judgment of the dead is found in Revelation 11:15-18.

The Book of Revelation is not in chronological order.
This is proven by Christ returning "as a thief" in Revelation 16:15-16 and also returning in chapter 19.
The book is a series of overlapping visions given to John.
