I didn't know where else to put this but I had a very short dream or part of a dream idk what to call it it happened in between the state where you are nearly asleep like zoned out yet not fully asleep.

The dream is this there was a big book case full of bibles in a catholic library I guess you could call it. there was me a devoted catholic and a person switching from Christianity to Catholic. I opened one of the bibles and noticed Jesus was taken out of it completely nothing about him nothing prophecied about who he is and how ppl would know the messiah when he came 2,000 years ago and the devoted catholic said yes jesus is taken out of the bible and I said but that isn't Christian and i began to wonder why the person next to me was switching from Christianity to catholic.

That is the dream but the thing is I have nothing against the catholics I consider them my brothers and sisters in Christ so why on earth did I have a dream about them taking Jesus out of the bible?

probably because most Bible versions have taken Jesus out of the Bible in many places... little by little over many, many years. they continually update all new 'versions.' did they suddenly find new manuscripts? no, they didn't. it is my belief that these false versions will continue to be updated until they no longer resemble the word of God at all. and by then, no one will be around who knew what the original word actually said. while some KJVs will survive, it is my guess that they will be outlawed at some point. just as one example, i learned that that 30,000 changes were made to the NIV when compared to the KJV. that was when it first came out. the latest version of NIV, however, has over 60,000 changes. and this goes for most other versions, RSV, NKJV, NRSV, NASB, ESV, CEV, etc.

i think there are many Christians in the catholic church, but that the catholic church itself is not Christian. that is my take on it. possibly you were being warned to steer clear of anything but God's word, the KJV. most other versions are catholic and corrupt; that is to say, they are translated from the same erroneous manuscripts used by roman catholicism, the alexandrian manuscripts, instead of the textus receptus. that's what i found after researching this issue for almost two years. for the first time in my 40+ years of Bible study, i am using the KJV, and it's amazing, the difference. God bless you, brother Blain. pray about it, and research the KJV only movement. i do not label myself KJV only, but i do not use the others anymore--i want the full word of God and not some watered-down, altered version. you may find it interesting that many catholics use the NIV (and other so-called protestant 'versions') with the RCCs blessing. why do you think that is? did you hear that? the roman catholic church endorses the NIV. that's enough right there to convince me it must be wrong... sorry, i know this is deeply offensive to many people, and it's not my intention to hurt anyone, but i believe it is the truth after doing my own comparisons and research. i think each person should research this for themselves and compare the 'versions' and see what they think. there should not be versions of God's word IMHO. one needs to be careful, though, because some Bibles labeled KJV are actually not. shocking, but true. Satan is the god of this world, friend, that's what God says, and it's true. basically, nothing is as it seems ;). PM me if you want more information on this. i truly hesitated to post this because i do not wish to argue with anyone or hurt anyone's feelings, but i believe this is a very important issue... and this is a Christian website, and if i held back what i understand to be the truth because i was afraid it was not popular opinion, well then, i guess i'd have to answer to the LORD for that. God's blessings on your research, brother. pray about it :prayer:

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Hebrews 13:1-5
Let brotherly love continue. 2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. 3 Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. 4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. 5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

1 Corinthians 13
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

You won't find jesus in a book but you will find him in people's hearts. Those without priviledges who hold on to God would know this a lot better than all of us. Those who wait on their daily bread rather than earn it understand that very well. It is unfortunate how it isn't until harsh times that people start to realise this but that's okay. God indeed does choose the foolish things to highlight his strength.

The Catholic Bible has the Book of Wisdom and Maccabees in it. Until you've read those you haven't really lived as a Christian.

Until you've acknowledged that the lifestyles of most 1st world christians imply that they don't care about other people who are suffering around the world, you don't love your brother as your self. All these extra books are a distraction from the truth.

When you read news and hear of changes in the churches, keep this in the back of your mind. If God is giving you insight through the dream, it will protect you and help clarify your decisions, as much prophecy does.

Recent statements from the Vatican show effort to address global issues of hunger, injustice, destructive materialism, and social-political tensions. Consider how ecumenical movement and consideration of all of humanity as one body, could lower an emphasis on Jesus as Christ.

To do this, softening diverse groups might require concession, or shifts in how statements are delivered. (The Pope's statements currently incorporate Jesus' teachings.)

54. Some people continue to defend trickle-down theories which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and inclusiveness in the world. This opinion, which has never been confirmed by the facts, expresses a crude and naïve trust in the goodness of those wielding economic power and in the sacralized workings of the prevailing economic system.

Meanwhile, the excluded are still waiting. To sustain a lifestyle which excludes others, or to sustain enthusiasm for that selfish ideal, a globalization of indifference has developed. Almost without being aware of it, we end up being incapable of feeling compassion at the outcry of the poor, weeping for other people’s pain, and feeling a need to help them, as though all this were someone else’s responsibility and not our own. The culture of prosperity deadens us.

61. We should recognize how in a culture where each person wants to be bearer of his or her own subjective truth, it becomes difficult for citizens to devise a common plan which transcends individual gain and personal ambitions.

65. Again and again, the Church has acted as a mediator in finding solutions to problems affecting peace, social harmony, the land, the defence of life, human and civil rights, and so forth... Yet, we find it difficult to make people see that when we raise other questions less palatable to public opinion, we are doing so out of fidelity to precisely the same convictions about human dignity and the common good.

67. Different forms of war and conflict are re-emerging, yet we Christians remain steadfast in our intention to respect others, to heal wounds, to build bridges, to strengthen relationships and to “bear one another’s burdens” (Gal 6:2).

69. It is imperative to evangelize cultures... In countries of other religious traditions, or profoundly secularized countries, it will mean sparking new processes for evangelizing culture, even though these will demand long-term planning. We must keep in mind, however, that we are constantly being called to grow. Each culture and social group needs purification and growth.

- POPE FRANCIS, EXHORTATION EVANGELII GAUDIUM

"It is necessary to resolve the root of all ills, which is inequality. To do this there are several essential decisions to take: to renounce the absolute autonomy of the marketplace and of financial speculation and to act primarily on the structural causes of inequality."

-POPE FRANCISVIDEO ON THE OCCASION OF THE MEETING OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES:"EXPO OF IDEAS 2015 - TOWARD THE MILAN CHARTER" Saturday, 7 February 2015

"By sharing common values in national or regional spheres, commitments of cooperation may be reached that realistically address problems and transmit hope. I support the theme chosen for this Summit: “Prosperity with Equity: the Challenge of Cooperation in the Americas.” ...With the hope that the Church may also be an instrument of peace and reconciliation among peoples.

- Pope Francis, From the Vatican, 10 April 2015.
To H.E. Mr Juan Carlos Varela Rodríguez, President of Panama

"Christians throughout the world are facing similar challenges, which require us to work together in confronting these issues."

- Pope Francis, From the Vatican, 10 May 2015

“When we are generous in welcoming people and sharing something with them — some food, a place in our home, our time — not only do we no longer remain poor: we are enriched” (Address to the Community of Varginha, 25 July 2013)... commitment to building a more just, fraternal and peaceful society."

-Pope Francis, From the Vatican, 2 February 2015
FOR THE LENTEN BROTHERHOOD CAMPAIGN 2015 IN BRAZIL

From the Vatican, CHAPTER II THE PRACTICE OF ECUMENISM:

5. The attainment of union is the concern of the whole Church, faithful and shepherds alike. This concern extends to everyone..reveals... bond of brotherhood between all Christians and it helps toward that full and perfect unity which God in His kindness wills.

These statements do not deny Christ, but ask Catholics and others to include the world as their charge -- transforming how humanity addresses injustices. What will that look like? We can't say yet. But usually in life, one change leads to other unplanned changes. New challenges arise, and new conflicts need resolving.

Keep an eye on how well-intentioned changes play out.

Well actually the catholic church did put the bible as one of their banned books list.
They thought just cos it wasnt in latin translation, that nobody except scholars and clergy could read anyway, it was not the Holy Bible.

We are not meant to add or remove anything from the Bible, esp book of Revelation. There is a curse on anyone who tries to do this. There are lots of books our there purporting to be Bibles but have omitted vital scripture, words, sometimes whole passages.

Your dream was God showing you and warning you.
As previous thread shown, catholics dont really bother much with the bible. Remember Jesus is the Word, and if the word is removed you dont have anything, just a book pretending to be holy, but actually got holes in it.

Just keep praying for those who may be grown up in that church to read the Gods Word, the scriptures, more. Thats all you can do. It does no good arguing with those who have fixed beliefs.

keep firm in the faith once delivered to the saints.
