Mick Jagger bugs me too! Hes very arrogant! Chris Farley was considered a really sweet guy. His story is so sad. Anyhow, jagger hosted snl and at the end of the show, ya know how they all hug and wave good-bye to the audience? Well Chris was very starstruck and loved jagger and the stones. When chris went to hug him, jagger pulled away in disgust and completely embarrassed chris. Ill never forget that. Farley was a very fragile insecure guy! Musta broke his heart. Plus two of jaggers exs tried to commit suicide, one succeeded!

For those who dislike Eminem, listen to. In my opinion he's fallen off the past few years but his early-2000's stuff was very good and struck true to me and many of my peers at the time, listen to:

Stan
Sing for the Moment
Mockingbird
Lose Yourself

These songs can be appreciated even by people who don't neccessarily relate to him

I love "Sing for the Moment". Too bad that Eminem is a good rapper. However, however a nice guy he may be, Pitbull rubs me the wrong way and so does Christina Aguilera. They have a great song together, but I heard or rather, read that Agulera is or was not a nice person.

C Agulera, really went from this child progidy to a very sexual image. This has been going on since Hollywood and popular music began.

If you look over pop music history, say certain female performers weren't sexualized tho. Linda Rondstat, rickie lee jones, joni Mitchell were tame compared to beyonce, gaga, spears etc. Thats a reason that if I am going to watch a video or listen to sec music, i feel more comfortable listening to a time period when songs were simplar and morals were more intact.

Even Michael Jackson tried to keep a squeeky clean image. I never liked his music, but he did know that he influenced young ppl and paid attention to that.

Music has changed a lot! I do wonder if its satans music. As it changed American society, Esp in the 1960s, where sex, drugs and rebellion were glorified. I went off into a tangent, but its been on my mind lately.

I will admit that my musical taste is rather eclectic. My favorite music is progressive rock/metal, jazz fusion, classical, and classic rock. I do find something that I like on the radio every once in a while.

The past few years in popular music has been one of the worst ever in my opinion. I especially cannot stand the following:

Iggy Azalea
Nicki Minaj
Lady Gaga
Katy Perry
Taylor Swift
"All About that Bass"
T.I.
Jeremih

For me these artists and their popular songs represent all that is wrong with music and which has become progressively worse over the past 25 years or so. Corporate creations, outside songwriters, digitally-manufactured musical environments, the influence of hip-hop on what constitutes "singing" and "vocals," and the ridiculously shallow and anti-intellectual quality of lyrics.

Yeah, I may come off as a music snob, but for me it has never been about popularity or how many people like it. That is employing the bandwagon fallacy or appealing to the mob. One man's opinion’that's all.

I like some Lady Gaga's music but her videos and image can rub me the wrong way. Dislike Kanye West, as many do. I never liked Michael Bolton's personality after seeing him on a talk show, he was terrible
