No thanks.
If ever it comes to the government being too big and scary - well it is now - but i mean chasing us, hunting us or even some weirdo who got hold of technology tracking, they will always be able to find you.

As i said before - i say it again - these chips can 'track' ppl. IE - its a very real problem and invasion of privacy - when the government and whoever else can always track you.

Say - as an example - the enemy gets a hold of the techie - and we go to war.

Pretty much - fah-get-about-it.
This isnt about religion so much as about this type of stuff getting in the wrong hands.

In my protestant days that was a big fear & no no.

Yeah, I know. One honor student (who happened to be Protestant) refused her to wear her school's student I.D. that had a chip in it (to allow the school to know where the student was at all times) calling it the "mark of the beast". She was discriminated against and treated as if she had done something very wrong and lost all the honor student benefits she had earned.

A lawsuit was filed on her behalf. I thought that there wouldn't be a case. However, the courts said that her religious beliefs were being violated from having to wear "the mark of the beast".

They can find you now, WA---and they don't need microchips.

Carry a credit card, charge card, debit card, driver's license, anything with a magnetic strip on the back? They can track you.

Buy a new car in 2014? They're going to have airline-type black boxes installed on them.

Access Christian Forums on your home PC? They can track your every keystroke.

Do you have a cell phone? They can triangulate your exact position at any time.

Drive a car? Bike to work? Hike in the woods? As long as it's daylight and it's clear, they can focus in on you from four miles out in space, close enough to see the pimples on your face.

The only way to avoid having them know where you are is to completely drop off the grid---and I mean completely; and only travel on foot at night.

Gurns go to google earth - you can see homes up close...satellites are that good - to see the pimples. I had to call 911 to get police to find out the name of the road i was on when i broke down - they tracked me within minutes from my cell.

Believe it.

Sister WA, you think I don't know that stuff already? Come on. I was razzing Wols. You should know me by now. If you think I don't know about Google Earth, cookies, satellites, cell traces, the Patriot Act, and countless others means of tracking, you must think I'm one epic dufus!:o:o:p

That chip doesn't have its own power source so it doesn't send out signals. The reader is what has the power source in order to detect it. That reader needs to be very close in order for it to be detected.

So, you needn't worry about this detecting you. You'd be worse off carrying your cell phone. It has a power source and sends out signal.

I'm definitely not a fan of Obama's. I think the guy's a bust. But man, I notice all my conservative friends were TOTALLY fine with the Patriot Act back in the Bushie days. It was sound and good for 'Murka then. Somehow it was just great. Then Obama uses drones and we're all going nuts.

When are people going to wake up and realize both parties are utter hypocrites and will spy on ya in a New York minute....
