Disney hotel and Jesus

Your dream may be about the Church. Much of the body has strayed far from the Father easily being taken in by flashy services and churches catering to the world. Like Disney is nothing, but entertainment for families the church is becoming a smorgasboard of beliefs, practices and fluff. Your family piling into a tiny room, while you and your mother are seeking rest and respite, may be symbolize there are those outgrowing the immature behavior of alot of churches now. In other words you both are truely seeking Jesus, but are perhaps in the wrong pew so to speak. The pamphlet promised your time with the Lord, but may have awoken as He wasn't there as the advertisments proclaimed.

Last night I had a dream where my mom and I were going to a Disney hotel for some relaxation (my Dad passed away earlier this year and my sister was not in this dream!) We looked around the hotel and went into our room. It was your standard room with two beds. A bunch of family showed up. Out of all of them there is one that I think doesn't believe in Jesus. Your sister might not have been there bc your mother might not have been your literal mother. What does your mom represent to you...

You set aside a time and place to kick back. It was a borrowed room, by mutual agreement. Disney is a highly organized entertainment company, so that might have shown a large entity that the public trusted... them being large made you smaller as guests. But pampered! Although you describe your room as standard.

This reminds me of widening your tent by expanding where the tent posts are placed in the ground. This can refer to your ministry -- allowing room for more to be done.

If the hotel room was a ministry where people showed up, it was temporary -- like getting involved in a food cupboard or Bible Study that someone else started. Popularity grew more quickly than you had planned to manage. Like when two friends agree to do Bible studies at lunch time, and suddenly more people want to join. You know it's worthwhile to include them, but it spoiled your plans.

So you went out to meet Jesus by yourself -- leave others behind and narrow in on what you really wanted out of the experience. Not sure if that part was positive or negative. Sometimes we isolate ourselves in our faith, because people (differing opinions, timing, etc.) are so much work.

If it were a stress dream, it might just be the annoyance of too many people getting involved in your stuff. If prophetic, it might be a reminder to care about the future of your loved ones, before Jesus shows up in the lobby.

Forgive me Oceanjewel, I have neglected to say that I am sorry you to hear about your father, and that you are having to deal with the sorrow of missing him, and that your mother is having to miss him too.

I also wanted to add that the emotions in the dream are the key and the most revealing aspects in this "message to self". You "want" to go to see Jesus, the "irritation" of too many people coming into your space, "needing/desiring" to be alone with your mom, asking for ("wanting") companionship to go to see Jesus. Can you see your own personal desires and needs at this time in your life that are depicted in this dream?

I wonder if your sister is handling the loss of her father in a different way than you and your mom, as this may be why she is not in your dream.
