(CNN) -- Prosecutors in Florida asked a judge Friday to revoke bond for George Zimmerman, who is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Trayvon Martin.
Prosecutors argued that Zimmerman "misrepresented, misled and deceived the court" during an April bond hearing about whether he had a U.S. passport and about his family's financial circumstances.

I know people said that he didn't know about the money. I am guessing he didn't know he had that passport too, right?

This man is a liar.

Interesting. Zimmerman possibly lies about his knowlege of a bank account's balance and he should be locked up?

Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren lies about her heritage when she fraudulently claimed minority status in order to get jobs via affirmative action at two universities and it's "nothing to see here"?

The logic in your comparison is disjointed. Lying on a job application is not the same as lying to the court.

The comparison is not fair, you are correct. I apologize.

Lying when one is a criminal defendant is surely not the same nor as serious as when one is lying when one is a senatorial candidate.

Your logic is still disjointed. Why not try to keep Warren, a person totally unrelated to Zimmerman, out of this discussion?

The logic in your comparison is disjointed. Lying on a job application is not the same as lying to the court.

It is the specific lie about a passport.

There are 2 issues when it comes to bail.

A danger to society and flight risk.

Someone without a passport is a lesser flight risk as it limits their ability to travel outside the country.

Having lied about that is a double hit when it comes to being a flight risk.

And that the stand your ground legislation was largely criticized by calling it the "make my day" law.

You realize that all this means is that Zimmerman supporters will be sending in even more cash! :D

Life is funny that way ... perceived "wrongful prosecution" offends some folks so much that they reach out in the only meaningful way they can.
