Deleted all my illegal versions of software, deleted all my illegal music. (christian music)

reinstalled windows on a legal version of XP...

And I want to get some good christian music to put on my mp3 player, so i can listen to it while i work out, but i don't got any money to buy songs to download and put it on my mp3 player.....

so would it still be sinful if I just downloaded some christian music and used to listen it to go run/workout on my mp3 player?

I mean i already deleted everything/reformatted my cracked version of windows, deleted all my illegal programs/etc that I downloaded illegally.... but i want some good christian music now!

I honestly got like 5$ in my bank account I can use online to get, but that's like 5 SONGS, that will not work... help :prayer:

There's shoutcast.com

I save the .pls files from my favorite stations and then just play those in WinAmp.

There's also a program called Streamripper that you can use with WinAmp to record the songs.

I think it's wonderful.

Check out noisetrade.com. Everything there is free, because the artists have chosen to provide it for free in order to promote their music. It was started by Derek Webb of Caedman's Call, and most of the music there is Contemporary Christian. You won't find a lot of well-known Christian artists, but everything I have downloaded from there has been good stuff, and it is a good way to get free music without violating your principles or breaking the law.

Another option: check out itunes. They usually have free music available, and they sometimes feature Christian artists. Also emusic.com gives a free music credit when you sign up for an account. They do not require that you purchase anything. All of these are ethical and legal ways to add to your music collection.

Good luck finding christian music to workout to. I find it difficult to imagine working out to slow christian rock, that is just me. When I hit the gym, I will be playing my loud rap music.

Go have a look at Jamendo - all the music is freely downloadable, and perfectly legal - due to an innovative licensing agreement they have with the artists. They have more than 270,0000 tracks - all free. There's some really nice music there.

iTickets has a free music download every week (sometimes 2 or 3), but you have to sign up. I don't think you have to give any personal information to sign up though.

Indieheaven | Discover The other 99% of Christian Music is a Christian music site for indie music. They have freebies there. You have to dig around.

Ok, to find the free songs just look at the artist bio and there should be a tab there if a freebie is lurking around; look for "Redeem".

Here is a rapper giving away a free song - listen to them all and then pick the free one out of the bunch

I don't pirate music anymore either, I use Napster (now a part of Best Buy), streaming for 5 bucks a month and I have even gone back to actually BUYING CDs! I know its a crazy concept...

I use Pandora and have a few Christian stations set up--- its useful for when I exercise at home and can have my computer next to where I'm working out.

I really love god and I cannot believe i had all this crap on my computer, i actually never though it was bad/illegal to do this stuff, but This means god was telling me/sending me a message through my heart, that you know what newman you just need to get rid of that crap and go out in the real world, stop getting addicted to computer/etc.

So god bless everyone on these forums to, I actually came here on the forums to search if anyone else had the same problems like me. and they did, so I read stories on here people were deleting there illegal photoshop/programs, and I didn't really know it was that "IMMORAL" until I could tell my life just didn't "Seem right" I was on the computer more then I was and it was eating my life away, (Also god is talking to you at this time) While that happens,

So yeah, my computer is 100% clean, and I'm outin the real world now, I'm not going back to getting addicting with the computer/etc,

Thanks everyone for those sites, I will use those sites, and the official HILLSONGUNITED Youtube channel, to listen to music, all the other ones I don't feel comfortable listening to because those people could have uploaded a fake .mp3/etc and they might have not bought it. But I know if I watch youtube videos music from the official HILLSONGUNITEDTV or w/e Artist, I know it's legal/moral.

Also from the VEVO PAges to, because each refresh/ad the artist get's paid, so I think that is still legal to watch it from there, just not random songs by random people who uploaded it, because you never know if they bought that song before they uploaded it, or just downloaded it illegally, and uploaded it, which would be bad.

Many contemporary Christian radio stations have some freebees from Christian artisits. Google Christian radio stations and then go for it. They are all legal as promos.
