Wrong? No, not really. It's a personal choice, even if it's a bad choice. If people want to eat swine and get high blood pressure and lots of belly fat, sky's the limit. I just don't want them expecting me to approve of their behavior, or getting upset when I'm not approving of it.

What about when they get sick can't work and have to use your tax dollars to get medical care, food stamps-for more bacon macncheese, and welfare checks?

I know this one fat lady who got her stomach stapled so she would lose weight. She came home from the hospital and had bacon macaroni and cheese and it made her sick. She didn't eat that anymore after that.

It is what it is and why I pay taxes. As for food stamps, I think the government could put stipulations on what can be bought since they're providing the funds. If they're buying food to feed their family, and not wasting the money on gambling, then I'm not too concerned.

Well, her lesson was learned though I'm not sure why people turn to surgery so much. It's just lazy to do things like this as a quick fix method to being fat. Put in the work and actually lose weight, and become a healthier person.

like smoking, getting drunk, doing drugs, or eating too much macaroni and cheese and bacon?

Getting drunk isn't unhealthy.

Anyway, I think that one's quality of life is about more than physical health. There is the psychological/spiritual dimension to life to consider. One may need to respect one's health to some extent in order to function as a human individual, but health does not have to be treated as the ultimate value of life.

Physiologically its a shock to the system in a few ways.

I give flu shots and I can usually tell the younger drinkers from other people. They bleed more often.

I agree. There is a balance between doing what is healthy and being miserable and doing what you want and feeling good.
