• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. i was thinking about people in scripture who felt broken and heavy with burdens. i know i can sure get lonely for company and love. i've got a huge family too. i mean huge. i have everyone living close too. anyway. i think one of the Heavenly Father's blessings to us is whiping our tears. rather it be in some comforts or we wait until Jesus returns. but you are not alone jo. *HUG* ... we all carry certain amounts of loniness. seek wisdom in this situation. :hug:

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does. i had to come back. i got caught up in chores... but my heart kept coming back to you, and also to castleinthsky. :hug:

something i had my daughters do when they were feeling blue. a candle-lit bubble bath... music turned up... or a good book. taking a walk, or bike-ride... anyway, i would tell them to slow down and do something pampering for yourself. the biggest thing that my oldest daughter did was journal and write what i call 'dark' poetry. all poetry is beautiful exspressions of our hearts. my youngest daughter got a guitar, a piano, and three pets........ the whole point is that we manage our loniliness with soothing activities.

I'm going through the same thing but it's spiritual. People 'in person' don't open up to me, they treat me like I don't exist or maybe they don't care. Sometimes people don't talk to me at all online (not here, other websites) I know a few people who I sent messages to and they never respond (not here, other websites) I guess they're not my friends but they don't seem to be that type of person according to other people. When people treat me like I don't matter to them I feel like that I did something wrong.

Sometimes, too, being lonely can be caused by boredom - when you have things to do you don't have time to be lonely :)

not the case with me:( I'm so busy that I end up feeling even more lonely because I want some time to find someone:(
