Why won't it stop?

write as a hobby. a few hours here, a few mins there. a day here, a day there....
write when you feel inspired. start with making an outline of your ideas. journal your ideas. it will all come together. believe in yourself. alittle here and a little there. xo dee

Don't extinguish it. Writing may not be a paying career, but many pursue their passions alongside other careers.

You would be a fool to extinguish the passion. God often gives us a choice between trusting him and doing our passion he gave us, or following an easy dull road. Choose with care. Unless you are a pawn of the Gods, you are the Captain of your destiny.

Writing can be of much enjoyment, pain, inventiveness; it can span the whole spectrum of human emotion - your are putting what’s in your head down on paper. I world run with it. Often the best authors have not set out to make it a way of earning money but have just written for pleasure, and have become very good at it. I would pursue it as a hobby and see what comes of it. Actually authoring a novel can be a very enjoyable hobby. I have done so it the past but these days I do not have the time. However, I may one day return to it when I have a bit more time on my hands.

Just keep on going! And have fun at what you are creating - creativity is a very Godly characteristic. He Created All and said it was good. It gave Him pleasure, so let your creativity give you pleasure too!

I think there's a delusion in place that even though you have a career opportunity it means you have to give up writing, I hardly ever see it working out like that. As others have said, it goes with you, it's not something you have to choose between, so stop placing that on yourself and walk with it, not away from it.

Why must you kill the passion? Writing is a bit like wanting to be an artist - until you make it and can make a living from it, it's something you need to fit around a regular job until you break through into the market. Keep writing.
