I posted a similar item in the Methodist forum, but I suppose it really belongs here...
To make a long story short, I've been looking for a new Church for several years. When I met my wife, she was a member of a non-denominational, charismatic Church, and I started going there, too. There have been several things that really bothered me about that Church in recent years, and I stopped going on a regular basis. Recently, I had the strangest urge to go to a contemporary service at a Methodist Church. So, I talked my wife into going to the local UMC last Sunday.
I loved it. I felt as if I were home the moment I walked in. My wife...well, we'll just say she's not as enthusiastic about it. I'm hoping it grows on her. (Some prayers might be nice, hint, hint )
