Funny how you snipped out the part where I said "Or is the left now saying the economy is doing well?". If both the left and the right are in agreement that the economy is doing well and inflation has been eliminated, then stimulus payments should make it even better.

I have always been worried about deficits and debt. And it's clear that Republican administrations have done a terrible job at reducing the debt, while some Democratic administrations have made serious headway on the problem.

There's all this talk from the left abut helping the working class, but when the idea of giving them a stimulus check comes up the left says "NOOOO!".

You have me mistaken. I'm not against this kind of thing at all and would like to see a much broader UBI eventually be implemented, though I'm not expecting that from this administration, but the way you guys just accept his reckless reactionary unguided behavior is just astonishing. Watching the way he twists some of you into pretzels to defend his reality is a pretty fair trade for having to live through this madness.

I'm not against this. I'm only wondering why you guys suddenly agree we need a stimulus. The American people are and have been struggling and this administration's economic and trade policies have only made things more expensive. Hence the sudden need to stimulate the economy. Some people in the White House can see the writing on the walls ahead of the midterms.
