They very much do see the sun above them, watching the 360 view of the TFE shows that clearly, I'm going off of the videos provided in this thread, not the top of my head. Clearly, very clearly the sun is above them the whole time.

The question for thought is in the second picture.

The "flat earth" stance I subscribe to is biblical, so the earth is not a flat disk floating in "outer space" rather, the land is in water covered by a dome, outside of the dome is more water, more ocean, the ocean outside the dome is more violent, but we are not under it. The water is coming from the throne of God that is on top of the dome, it flows down and around the dome constantly filling and expanding the outside ocean.

In this case, given the 24 hour video, we see the path the sun takes, at first it is farther away from them, as it makes its way left and behind them, it is closer to them, as it goes around it goes back out a bit farther, but it stays visible to them the whole time, because of where they are in relation to its path. As I hope everyone can see, in this case a sincere flat earth depiction explains what is seen better than the globe model.

It doesn't explain why the circling sun is visible on separate parts of the Southern Hemisphere at the same time in the southern summer.

Separate parts of Antarctica are further from each other than the entire Northern Hemisphere in most Flat Earth models.

Yes it does. Jesus said that He is the door. The fact that He used metaphor which contradicts literal reality means what He said is not literally true. He has no handle and no hinges. He does not stand in a door frame and swivel every time somebody wants to pass through.

Scripture talks about the trees clapping their hands. But trees don't have hands.

And there are many more examples in the Bible. So stop claiming poetry/metaphor as being literally true.

Job 38:4-11 is using foundations and cornerstone to illustrate, by using building metaphors, that whatever God has done, it is secure. And Jesus is the "cornerstone".

Stretching a line across anything does not describe its shape. It can be done on a ball too. And it's obvious that God did not literally stretch a physical line across anything anyway. God is spirit and all knowledgeable. He doesn't need measurement lines.

You're the one talking nonsense. You obviously don't have an answer.

It's not about reading, but about understanding context, which is very much a problem of your reading.

There is context to using metaphors. And you seem to just pick and choose when you want them to be literal and when they are not.

For instance you claim the sun doesn't set, it just appears to. But the Bible says it sets. So you have claimed in the past that it isn't literal.

But people can read!!

Here in this video it quotes that the sun does not rise or set we just see it go up and down & this is due our perception.

He doesn't say "our perception". He says "perspective." But perspective just makes things look smaller, the further away they are from the observer. It doesn't make things appear to go up and down. Perspective would make the sun appear smaller as it got further from the observer. That is not what happens at sunset. The sun gradually disappears below the horizon, not looking smaller, but bit by bit becoming hidden. Thus halfway through a sunset we see only a semicircle of the sun, then gradually more and more disappears until the whole sun is below the horizon. That is not perspective at all.

Oh no, not again! God is said in that verse to sit upon the circle or circuit of the earth. You seem to want the verse to say: "It is He that sitteth upon the earth, and the earth is a circle." But it does not say that. It mentions the circle or circuit of the earth. That no more means "The earth is a circle" than "The Prime Minister of the UK" means "The UK is a Prime Minister," or "The driver of the bus" means "The bus is a driver." Once and for al, Isaiah 40:22 does NOT say "The earth is a circle."

The earth takes shape like clay under a seal; its features stand out like those of a garment. Job 38:14

Did you read what Phil G just wrote about the context of Job 38:14? It's about the earth's appearance changing with the coming of the light of dawn, not the earth changing shape when dawn comes.

5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

No "across" there, is there?
