The New York Times reports the two individuals have been transferred from the custody of the Pentagon to the U.S. State Department for their repatriation. They note that the U.S. has handed individuals in the past over to friendly countries when they were intercepted outside the country. The Coast Guard, in the past in the Caribbean, however, after stopping drug trafficking boats, has also arrested the individuals and brought them to the U.S. for prosecution.

Their own countries can prosecute them. The Ejército de Liberación Nacional (ELN) is recognized as a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union. The ELN uses people from Ecuador and Columbia..

These were narco-terrorists who traffic drugs to the United States. The video is declassified, as to the actual drugs you can look but I don't think there is much left to find given the wind and the waves. It's similar to the situation with Iran, they were given warning but continued on.

Sounds like a collection of right-wing talking points all right. But here is another angle: when those drug boats carry more than two people the rest are generally passengers being trafficked. Is it OK with you to blow them up too? Some might even be women and children, but are they evil enough for trying to get into the US to execute them, too?

Well actually you have no way of knowing that.
I was responding to someone who usually leans towards the liberal side suddenly blaming drug users for the drug problem.
Typically the left has been against going after users, leaning towards sentencing users to rehab and some even recommend legalizing drugs.
Why all of a sudden is the fentanyl problem the user's fault?
Many people who overdose don't even know that they are taking fentanyl

Why wouldn't be the fault of the users/ their friends or family? They started, they need help getting off. I noticed some people do drugs because of child abuse. Physical or sexual abuse. A drug addict will just find a different drug. Most drug addict need professional help to get off of drugs.

But they can't. Getting off drugs aren't that easy. That's why I said that a lot of people, that are on drugs need professional help. Since some are numbing pain. From sexual , mental and physical abuse. Also the withdrawal can cause people to die. I was raised Republican, and learned. That most Republicans did drugs, had abortions and need help.
