The activists on the Gaza aid flotilla portray themselves as victims of Israeli aggression.

That's because they are being attacked by Israel - doh!

Some remarkable verbal gymnastics here to justify Israel attacking a few unarmed small boats in international waters. But then given you justify Israel murdering well over 60.000 mostly women and children in Gaza on completely spurious grounds then it's par for the course for you.

In what respect? Al Jazeera has a "leans left" rating on some issues, but they generally come from an Islamic point of view, which is hardly leftist.

Those that give them awards are leftists. It also leans left and is anti-west. Thats why the left likeable and supports them. Anything anti-west is welcomed by the left. Strange bedfellows.

Lets us remember the 268 Journalists who have died in Palestine, together with the 4 who have died in Israel. Their job and vocation is to shine a light on what is happening. None of them was perfect; they all no doubt lent left or right or even both ways; however, they are not the enemy of freedom and truth. Let us remember them as people, friends, relatives, Sons and Daughters, Mothers and Fathers, and with grateful hearts commend them to God.
