If those representatives break the law, they are to be held accountable.

True, Afghanistan elected an authoritarian rule--as 49.9% of you did last November.
With the war over, they are living in the economy they have.
If they build it they will not be starved or tortured. I am concerned about girls' education, but that is not enough of a reason to continue to occupy the country.

They didn't elect it, they got conquered. Certainly with some support from parts of the population, but don't act like this was a democratic process.

We've never been all that generous. The US was the largest dollar contributer of humanitarian aid, but on a per capita basis we were 17th.

Considering the amount of suffering caused by the gutting of USAID, I think the US didn't get enough recognition for the good it did in foreign aid (including from me).

What a witness.

Scripture does not say that giving to the poor is limited to churches and Christians. It implies in Romans 13 that it can be a 'minister of God for your good'. The USA was blessed and has been a giving nation which in turn brings good will toward it.

But with the current president, the government is not the minister of good but cruelty and non-caring. Also, ineptness. A good stewart wouldn't let food we already paid for just go to waste, and then spend $130,000.00 plus to burn rather than send it elsewhere to be eaten.

I already contributed thousands through taxes, which were allocated for this but wasted instead of utilized. How many lives are we willing to end because tax breaks for gazillionaires are more important? How many more lives are we willing end because we need even more, bigger, deadlier weapons to pay for?
