Almost like the whole country is made up of immigrants and families being directly impacted by this administration’s policies. The president who liked to brag “no new wars” is at war with his own country.
How many people were involved in the "mayhem" relative to the total number of protestors? How much of that "mayhem" was actually part of the protests, and how much of it was it people taking advantage of the situation to cause trouble? If you don't have a clear answer for those questions, I'd suggest that it might be a good idea to back off the sweeping generalizations.Whatever sympathy they might have evoked is out of the window given the mayhem in LA and protests in other areas
There you go. Focusing on a few trouble makers is much easier than accepting the ugly reality unfolding across the country. People are going to keep making noise no matter how much you hate to see it. And this time, there’s no election coming up to cut things short. It’s going to be a long 4 years with a president bent on waging war against his own people.Whatever sympathy they might have evoked is out of the window given the mayhem in LA and protests in other areas. We’re sick of the violence, vandalism, and looting. Dropping debris on cars driving on the expressway? People could hurt because of their foolishness. I have no qualms about with the military being there. I’m not supporting anyone behaving like that. Citizen or not.

The things I’ve got to read on this “Christian” website…I’ve lived through this before and will never support it. We were inundated with illegals and they were a blight on the area and no one wanted them here. If he goes to war against them to resolve the problem so be it.

I’m a center winger so I see both far left and far right as malcontents.Do right wingers see left wingers as malcontents or as individuals who are protesting the problematic actions of the state?
That's an observation of the behavior of others, not an explanation for why you would choose to exhibit that same behavior. As we’ve witnessed over the years it often comes with the territory. If you choose to participate you’ll be lumped with the rest.

For those who are schooled on the law & our essential documents the US created this debacle largely because of access to cheap labor. I blame both parties for that. We talk of reform & in the eyes of some politicians that means amnesty. They cave in. Look every country has borders & laws for immigration. Most countries are very strict. We saw this with Otto & Britney G. when they arrived in N. Korea & Russia respectively. Central Americans represent a people whose govts are totally dysfunctional, communist in cases, & where cartels & para-militaries control the state. They are impoverished, non-skilled, & illiterate. The US has to stop being the basket of goodies for all the world's wishes. We get stereotyped into the idea that all citizens are wealthy & can support all the world. We can't. We are tapped out. We have a legal method for entry but as I said both parties don't mine cheap labor whether its for business or unions. It comes with a price. No income tax is contributed & neither is property tax & those are huge burdens on us. Illegals are able to dodge the E-verify system. Any money they earn tends to get sent back home. That is not fair to the rest of us who have to shell it back to the govt which then goes to waste it. Then we have the fentanyl problem & the other drugs. The US cannot seem to break its thirst for drugs. Then there is human trafficking & lots of severe violence. And in the last few years, these illegals were able to access benefits because lawmakers were worried that hospitals would folk from demand & non-payment. So they come for the freebies. But someone else is paying the bill. It's all to easy to feel sorry for people but I don't recall Christ calling the paralytic a taxi. He said pick up your pallet & go home. After cheap labor its about getting illegals into the voting booth. Such poor people will vote one way because of the goodies that they don't have to work for. That is why they are faciliated to come in. It is puzzling why so many people don't aspire to higher education & skills & would rather perform this menial labor. But it's like slicing up a pizza. The more mouths to feed, the thinner the slice. Americans & the naturalized citizens don't deserve this lack of representation from our govt. Those greedy people are not looking out for the sovereignty of the country; they are only interested in their own power. A non-educated electorate means no one can spot the fox in the henhouse. E-verify would be a good place to start as far as the work situation but again if there are laws on the books, it does not mean you get to just walk across the border. People should reread the history of civilization on all the invasions that eventually brought states down. Then you get politicians trying to define invasion. More bunk. Ever heard of an invasion of locusts, or lantern flies, or other plagues. It's an overtaking. At stake is the Constitution. When immigrants do it the right way, they are more appreciated. They assimilate better & feel they have accomplished something. A country has to maintain a high standard. it is too easy to curry favor & placate & that shows that such stances only suggest weakness, lack of integrity, & a greedy desire for votes. It's a shame lawmakers don't see this. Laying guilt trips on citizens too is not right. For those who virtue signal let me remind them of Christ speaking to Peter. Give them your cloak too. The virtualists essentially mean they want someone else to do the dirty work. In addition to the migrants from our own hemisphere, people of nearly all the world's countries have come here & some probably have other ideas on their minds. We seem to have forgotten all about 9-11. And who's to blame-as usual our govt.
About 60 people arrested after veterans' anti-ICE demonstration in Washington, DC, police say
Some protesters will be charged with assault on a police officer and resisting arrest
Its the 250th anniversary of the military. A celebration of our troops. We appreciate them.for the first time in the nation's history, conduct a military parade with tanks down the streets of our nation's capital.
Is that somehow super important? What percentage is acceptable? How many people were involved in the "mayhem" relative to the total number of protestors?
All of it came out of the protests. Not all of the protestors were involved of course. I hope you also aren't trying to say that none of the protestors were involved. How much of that "mayhem" was actually part of the protests, and how much of it was it people taking advantage of the situation to cause trouble?
Why? Because as far as I know unless every single person involved in the rioting was never asked those questions. And since the activities happened during and after the protests its most certainly okay to generalize that the protestors also rioted. Not all of course and no one is saying they all did.If you don't have a clear answer for those questions, I'd suggest that it might be a good idea to back off the sweeping generalizations.
