CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hard to say. Microplastics are such big unknown still... they have been found in brain, in liver, everywhere. Maybe they do nothing, maybe they cause or worsen all of the modern health problems.

Maybe. The health significance is still debatable. Scientific awareness of foreign material in the human body is actually nothing new. The average America has a significant amount of mineral oil in their body, for instance.

Yeah, i disagree with that. I think Ameticans do want cheaper goods. Who doesnt? After all inflation was an issue during the election. Trump and his administration is going to make a big mistake if they act like people don't care. He wont be successful if Americans find their economy crashing and their goods costs skyrocketing like they did during Bidens administration.
He's right about achieving prosperity and upward mobility. That's why people want to come here.
And I really have no idea how the tarrifs are going to ultimately work. They may have a short term effect or they may have a long term negative effect. If they end up having a long term negative effect on the economy, jobs and the cost of goods, then Trump is going to lose support. It's inevitable if people continue to struggle paying for stuff.
But we aren't there yet. It's been less than two months.
