  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

U.S. District Judge Dale Ho must rule on accepting the motion.

Judge orders Mayor Eric Adams, DOJ lawyers to appear in court to explain case dismissal request

  • Manhattan U.S. District Judge Dale Ho’s order suggests he will not rubber stamp the DOJ’s highly unusual dismissal request, which has sparked concerns that the Trump administration struck a deal to toss the case in exchange for Adams cooperating with enforcing immigration laws.
Ho’s order quotes an appeals court case that says judges “should be satisfied that the reasons for the proposed dismissal are substantial.”

“The parties shall be prepared to address, [among other things], the reasons for the Government’s motion, the scope and effect of Mayor Adams’s ‘consent in writing,’” Ho wrote.

Dale Ho is a liberal Biden/Schumer appointed judicial political activist, he has argued many cases against "Trump" no surprise he's opposed 100% against Trump and his Admin, nothing new coming from the Southern District in New York

From the order: (emphasis added)

"On February 14, 2025, the Government filed a “motion seeking dismissal without prejudice of the charges in this case, with leave of the Court, pursuant to Rule 48(a) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.” ECF No. 122 at 1. That Rule provides that “[t]he government may, with leave of court, dismiss an indictment, information, or complaint.” Fed. R. Crim. P. 48(a).

As the Second Circuit has explained, Rule [48(a)] was not promulgated to shift absolute power from the Executive to the Judicial Branch. Rather, it was intended as a power to check power. The Executive remains the absolute judge of whether a prosecution should be initiated and the first and presumptively the best judge of whether a pending prosecution should be terminated. The exercise of its discretion with respect to the termination of pending prosecutions should not be judicially disturbed unless clearly contrary to manifest public interest. In this way, the essential function of each branch is synchronized to achieve a balance that serves both practical and constitutional values."

Is it in the Public Interest to have the case dismissed?

Really, it has nothing to do with the several resignations of DOJ officials who did so, rather than comply with the edict from on high to nix the prosecution?

If he has to go to trial, let him go to trial. If he’s found guilty let him go to prison

Dale Ho is a judicial political activist and Biden Appointee, the finest example of the judicial liberal cause, hailing from the ACLU "Liberal" to put the icing on the cake!

We're getting back to law and order, about 15-20 liberal federal prosecutors have resigned before being fired by Trump in the Souther district of New York, nothing more than political lawfare on open display

The whole case relating to Eric Adam's is nothing more than targeted retaliation for turning his back on the liberals in favor of Trump and his immigration policies to clean up New York, Adam's is pretty much Team Trump now and the liberals hate him for it

In 2 months from now this case will be gone and the real news will be coming out, Elon and DOGE will be hitting the IRS next, can't wait!

Are crimes not crimes if an alleged criminal agrees to help an incumbent president?

This case, started under the Biden administration, was retaliation against Trump? Apparently they had access to the Obama time machine.

His problems started when he criticized an incumbent president's immigration policies

I Agree, and the liberal federal prosecutors within the Southern District in New York is being sanitized and cleaned as I write, the "liberal political federal prosecutors" practicing lawfare are dying on the vine, their hero Merrick Garland is "Gone"!

Donald J. Trump is doing just that, amazing how much he has done in just 1 month, the world has turned to the right on its axis

Such adoration adulations, wow, I think this is the very first time I’ve seen such praise for any politician on these forums.

Adams is a Democrat who broke the law (allegedly).
He was indicted for these allege crimes that went back years.
Why would liberal political warfare (odd the “” and capitalization) seek to bring down a brightening light in its pantheon?

You agree with my pointing out that your claims don't match the timeline?
