New addition to the Pentagon school collection. This is NOT a new book. There are a half dozen sequels at this point.
Sure, I get it, I who have been raised in chastening with a rod and trained up in the way that I should go in a manner that most people in your country would call child abuse and who then endured 20 years of the chastening of war as a soldier before ending up a refugee without status for another 20 years in a country thousands of miles from my homeland, effectively being a slave and who has only learned six languages in my adult life am a deceived fool because I am content with my lot and described as far too charitable and considerate to strangers and pan handlers even though I have virtually nothing.
You on the other hand who have been raised in the deceitfulness of riches, in ease and abundance and who preaches the wisdom of the wise while conjuring up imaginary claims in your mind to argue with, because you don’t seem to even understand your own language, sees clearly while I walk in blind deception.
Thank God we have people like you to teach us that the teachings of Jesus were wrong and that chastening and poverty leads to deception whilst riches and ease leads to wisdom.
It's not the only book on hold. It being on hold has nothing to do with content. But let the hysteria continue. How dangerous is a book about a girl with freckles likely to be to anyone?
What did the AP call the body of water next to Mexico again? No word has been banned. Why are you trying to spread "dis/mis/information"?
You have mentioned this, and i'm not saying I doubt you, but do you have some kinda source to back this up? You've repeated it several times without support and I'm curious about it.It's not the only book on hold. It being on hold has nothing to do with content. But let the hysteria continue.
It's what I read in various news stories. Those who bothered to look it up should know what I know. Although I made a mistake. You have mentioned this, and i'm not saying I doubt you, but do you have some kinda source to back this up? You've repeated it several times without support and I'm curious about it.
I've read 5 or 6 articles on it.It's what I read in various news stories. Those who bothered to look it up should know what I know.
What does that have to do with what I said? NO WORDS HAVE BEEN BANNED. NO BOOKS HAVE BEEN BANNED. Why do you people have to be such drama queens? What did the AP call the body of water next to Mexico again?
And how was the response from the administration reasonable, intelligent and worthy of support?
You said no word has been banned. AP has lost access to the press pool for calling the "Gulf of Mexico" by it's name because this adminstration has randomly changed the name and taken punitive steps against organizations who use banned words or phrases (or words and phrases they don't like). What does that have to do with what I said? NO WORDS HAVE BEEN BANNED. NO BOOKS HAVE BEEN BANNED.
Someday you might be affected by all this and you might be able to acknowledge it happening. Why do you people have to be such drama queens?
NO WORD HAS BEEN BANNED. The AP lost access. And the AP, once a respectable news outlet, is garbage. You said no word has been banned. AP has lost access to the press pool for calling the "Gulf of Mexico" by it's name because this adminstration has randomly changed the name and taken punitive steps against organizations who use banned words or phrases (or words and phrases they don't like).
I think we will all be positively affected.Someday you might be affected by all this and you might be able to acknowledge it happening.
You make it sound like those two ideas are absolutely irrelevant to each other without addressing what happened.NO WORD HAS BEEN BANNED. The AP lost access.
Well that's absolutely delusional to think that people losing their jobs are being positively affected.I think we will all be positively affected.
You don't know how I was raised, buddy.Sure, I get it, I who have been raised in chastening with a rod and trained up in the way that I should go in a manner that most people in your country would call child abuse and who then endured 20 years of the chastening of war as a soldier before ending up a refugee without status for another 20 years in a country thousands of miles from my homeland, effectively being a slave and who has only learned six languages in my adult life am a deceived fool because I am content with my lot and described as far too charitable and considerate to strangers and pan handlers even though I have virtually nothing.

No one was "punished".1) Had I used the word "things", this wouldn't be an issue......so what you're doing is not really addressing anything.
2) The AP was punished EXPLICITLY for using a phrase the adminstration didn't want them to use. You make it sound like because this administration didn't "create a list of banned words" or in some other way explicitly use the word "Banned" well, then they obviously haven't "Banned" anything.
Of course if you are PUNISHED for using certain words, to suggest they are not "banned" is just giving a different name to a pile of excrement.
We have too many people earning large salaries for doing nothing, or worse, doing things detrimental to society. I have more respect for a person flipping burgers at McDonalds than I do for any bureaucrat. As a former government employee, I take significant umbrage at the accusation that government employees don't have self respect. People who choose to work in government do so because they want to work in service to people in their society and country. They often do this work at lower pay grades then they do in the private sector.
Your characterization of "useful and productive to society" misses a LOT of what is happening in the private sector. "Go work at the cheerio's factory. How great could America be if we only have 7 flavours of cheerios!"; "Go be a personal assistant to an oil executive. YOu'll definitely be helping society as you make sure his office has the appropriate number of pens". Going into the private sector, 99% of the time enriches someone else. I have a feeling a LOT of people believe that enriching someone else is a meaningful way to contribute to society as opposed to helping people.
Your take reads like the Christians who don't want to follow Jesus' teaching in the Beautitudes because it makes them seem "weak".
With all the talk about annexing Canada and Greenland and whatever it is that Trump wants for The Panama Canal and Gaza, I'm somewhat surprised that there has not been anything about annexing Airstrip One!"Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia"
If any books are actually banned I am sure it will be doubleplusgood!
I know you were raised to be comfortable trying to be deceptive about what people have said and then arguing with them using your deception as a basis for truth and even when you are confronted with your error, not repenting or apologising for it.You don't know how I was raised, buddy.
OF course they were. The fact that you don't characterize it that way is your fault. No one was "punished".
Your understanding of individuals who work for the government is some kind of ridiculous characterization you've conjured up.We have too many people earning large salaries for doing nothing, or worse, doing things detrimental to society. I have more respect for a person flipping burgers at McDonalds than I do for any bureaucrat.
Oh how I wish that were true. Problem is, I've dealt with the people who push papers around in order to accomplish nothing but making make life less efficient and more miserable for the rest of us.Your understanding of individuals who work for the government is some kind of ridiculous characterization you've conjured up.
She did in fact. She turned me down for a date.As if Penny in Human Resources at USAID ever did anything to make you angry, personally.
