Are you saying the United States of America will become more Hispanic AND Catholic? I've never been to Denmark, and I do not commune outside my Church, but good for you.

Some people still use yards even though offically we are metric. However most people will give their height in feet and inches.

When growing up, I always found it very strange that Americans did not have gardens, only backyards. And some of the stories that I read made no sense. Everyone I knew had a back garden and usually a (smaller) front garden. Farms have yards, not houses in towns or villages. Farmyards are far more interesting. (I grew up on a small farm).

Only later I have learnt how different American English is from English, usually in meanings of words.
