OK, you can stay in Cali... but you have to move to Oakland.I have a huge problem, guys... I'm supposed to buy a house in Arizona, but this conservative doesn't want to leave California.
Are you saying the United States of America will become more Hispanic AND Catholic? I've never been to Denmark, and I do not commune outside my Church, but good for you. They'll be happier as members of the Folkekirke (the Danish State Church, aka Lutheran) anyway. That's where I do when I'm there; it's close enough to Anglican for my purposes.
That's OK with me; there'll be a statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe in front of the capital within 10 years!
I'm ready for Tennessee to declare independence. We get along with pretty much everybody. And then my grandkids could be citizens of the US, Denmark, and Tennessee.
Harris was the one running the show, and that administration failed miserablyWorse than the one who just slept through his own administration?
Biden.Huh?
Think of it as cricket gone badly wrong.PS - being from the UK, I'm not sure what the World Series is, other than some sort of sport unknown in most of the world.
Not for me this year. I'll go to London when I get the chance, but Oz is far too long on airplanes for an old gaffer like me. I'd love to see SA play Oz at Lords, but I'll just have to see if I can snare a ticket that doesn't break the bank and a place to crash with some of my Millwall brethren.Roll on the Ashes!
Yikes!OK, you can stay in Cali... but you have to move to Oakland.
Only if you're fielding. I wouldn't recommend it if you're bowling or batting.I'm told that a good book helps!
I'm lucky as I'm a member at the SCG, so I'll be there at the New Year's test. Not for me this year. I've been to London twice! I'm forever surprised by the lack of yards! Not for me this year. I'll go to London when I get the chance, but Oz is far too long on airplanes for an old gaffer like me. I was thinking distance. Like in metres. But you mean backyards? There's plenty in the suburbs.I've been to London twice! I'm forever surprised by the lack of yards!
Yeah but there's Scotland Yard.I've been to London twice! I'm forever surprised by the lack of yards!
When growing up, I always found it very strange that Americans did not have gardens, only backyards. And some of the stories that I read made no sense. Everyone I knew had a back garden and usually a (smaller) front garden. Farms have yards, not houses in towns or villages. Farmyards are far more interesting. Since we're already off-topic...do the English use acres as a unit of measurement for property? When growing up, I always found it very strange that Americans did not have gardens, only backyards. Only later I have learnt how different American English is from English, usually in meanings of words.
This thread did not exactly start with a serious grip on reality anyway.Since we're already off-topic...do the English use acres as a unit of measurement for property?
Also, have you ever ordered a firkin of ale?
Some people still use yards even though offically we are metric. However most people will give their height in feet and inches.
