Prayers for everyone. But to make oneself ( women and children) a shield to protect wicked actors is not something I can support Christian or not. Palestinians are Arabs that lived in the land under the ottomans. They have no more ownership of that land than Israel does.
I wonder if you are accusing Palestinian Christians and the Episcopal Church of Jerusalem and the Middle East of engaging in these activities, and on what basis you make such assertions. I would assert that they have as much right to assert custodianship of the land as Israel does by virtue of the UN Resolution. I appeal to you to take seriously the plight of Palestinian Christians living in Israel and Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. They are not the ones dropping bombs or taking hostages.
Then they are not in a prison, they are choosing to put their own lives at risk and their families.
Where Hamas is, they are being human Sheilds. But at least this is an admission it is their choice.
Israel has opened corridors in the past for them to leave. Many did. Where did they go? There are Christian churches all over the region to take in their fellow Christians until Hamas either surrenders and releases the hostages . Or until they are taken out of power.
I don't know if you realise this kind of option is completely absurd. This is the kind of deal that the Russians offered the Ukrainians and they didn't like it either. As best I can tell there was no one who wanted to house or home Palestinian refugees and displaced persons. Egypt doesn't want them, and Syria and Lebanon are not viable alternatives. I don't pretend there are simple solutions, there just are not. You appear ready to justify anything that Israel does and says without restriction. Palestine has a population of around 5 million and so far the causality list is around 46000.
That is on them. I am mainly talking about Christian people in those places. Why are they complaining against Israel, when they leave them to Hamas? Why do you expect Israel to leave themselves to the wickedness of Hamas attacks?
You appear to blame Israel, but you are acknowledging who will not take these people in. I am done here because you are admitting OTHERS even their own people Arabs are leaving them to be hurt by Hamas. Christians in those places, Greek orthodox, Latin Patriarch, all complain yet won't take them in. Stop blaming Israel for what Hamas is and those who support them.
Yes. And......Look at what all the world is saying Palestinians ARE. All over the globe where peoples wave banners for the PALESTINANS, speaking FOR THEM. What do they say in their name? Free Palestine, From the river to the sea. They are HAMAS. They say it!!
Maybe because it is Israel who has the firearms that are bringing them and those around them down.
That has not been my approach. I would however point out that the Turk, The English, and now Israel have trodden them underfoot, used them as a plaything, and failed in resolving anything fairly. Israel has rights that I would fiercely defend, however, that is not a carte-blache to ignore justice, decency and humanity.
