You cannot pick and choose what laws are in the new covenant, they are the same as the old covenant period. Jeremiah 31 proves this, Jesus also spoke the same. the moral laws are the 10 Commandments as GOD wrote them.
I am not picking and choosing what laws are in the NC and which ones are not. The ones stated in the NC are in the NC. Anything that is not stated in the NC is not part of the NC.
Another example (besides the sabbath) is the dietary restrictions from the OC. Those restrictions are not restated in the NC, and so are not part of the NC requirements. I eat pork, shrimp, squid, clams, and crab all the time without sin.
It is the same with keeping the sabbath.
In the bible there are important principles to help us in discerning what to do in case there are contradictions, God is timeless and knows what we need way before we need them it is why he has written a way to be absolutely certain we follow His words and no one else.
There are no contradictions or conflicts between parts of God's Law. That is one way that we know that it is divine. If mankind tried to write something like the Scriptures (the quran or the book of mormon), it would be so full of holes, errors, conflicts and contradictions as to be obviously false. But the Bible was written by 40 men over 2500 years, and contains zero, none, zilch, nada errors, conflicts, or contradictions.
The test for determining whether a prophet is truly sent by God focuses on their adherence to God's commandments and their message's consistency with His law. A critical passage is Deuteronomy 13:1-5 (NKJV), which warns against prophets or dreamers who perform signs or wonders yet encourage people to turn away from God's commandments. The verse says;

"If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’—which you have not known—‘and let us serve them,’ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him. But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has spoken in order to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of bondage, to entice you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. So you shall put away the evil from your midst."

Even if a prophet's predictions or signs come true, they are false if their message leads people away from obedience to God.
Very true. But again, you are focused on the OT as if it is still the law of God for us today. It is not. The OT was the law of God for everyone who lived before Jesus died. Everyone who has lived after Jesus died has been subject to the NT, and not the OT.
God’s commandments are the ultimate standard for judging a prophet’s authenticity. A true prophet will never steer people away from God’s law or encourage disobedience. Their role is to guide people back to faithfulness and a deeper relationship with God. The test of a prophet is not solely their ability to perform miracles or predict the future, but whether their message aligns with God's commandments and leads others to worship Him alone.

By saying you do not have to obey the 10 commandments you make Paul a false prophet that takes away people from the moral laws that includes all of the Ten Commandments.
Wrong. Neither Paul nor I are attempting to steer people away from obeying God's laws. I am just pointing out, as he did, that the OT laws are not the laws we should be looking to for guidance on how to live today. The OT has no place in our lives, because it is no longer the law of God.
Throughout the Gospels, Jesus consistently calls people to follow Him. He alone is the way to eternal life and a restored relationship with God. In Matthew 4:19, He says, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men," inviting Simon Peter and Andrew to leave their livelihoods and dedicate themselves to His mission. In Matthew 16:24, Jesus expands on this call, teaching, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." He highlights the cost of discipleship, requiring self-denial and full commitment. Similarly, in John 8:12, He proclaims, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life," showing that following Him leads to truth, spiritual enlightenment, and life.

Jesus also makes it clear that He is the only way to God. In John 14:6, He declares, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." This exclusivity emphasizes that following Jesus is not merely one option among many but the sole path to salvation. In John 10:27, He identifies His followers as His sheep, saying, "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." He promises that those who follow Him are His, protected and guided by His care.

Jesus calls us to follow Him alone in everything—His teachings, actions, and commandments. He does not simply ask for belief but for a complete transformation of life that mirrors His example and obedience to God. To Believe in Him and follow also means to trust Him as the light and truth, to take up the cross of self-denial, and to reject any competing voice that leads away from His way. By following Him, we honor God fully, as Jesus is the perfect embodiment of God’s will and the ultimate guide for our lives.

I will say no more unless You have a specific question for me

Blessings.
Yes, Jesus says to follow Him, not the Law of Moses. It is not the OT law that we are called to follow today. Yes, Jesus kept the OT law, because He was born under the Law, and lived His whole life under the Law. But when He died, He fulfilled, completed, and made obsolete the OT (including the Law of Moses).

Read the NT Scriptures, my friend, without your preconceived idea that we are still under the OT. Read what they really say, not what you want them to say. Reading the OT, you will find over and over it says to keep the OT laws. But in the NT we are told that the OT is over, and the NT has been established. Both covenants cannot be active at the same time, for they are indeed contradictory.
In the OT we had to make animal sacrifices. But in the NT the sacrifice was Jesus Himself.
In the OT we had to worship in the Temple in Jerusalem for certain feasts and festivals. But in the NT we worship God in our hearts and not on a particular hill, or in a particular building.
In the OT we had to have Levite priests t preside in the Temple. But in the NT we are all priests, and our High Priest is from Judah.
In the OT we could not eat certain kinds of meat. But in the NT all meats are clean and can be consumed without sin.
In the OT we were in slavery. But in the NT we are free in Jesus Christ.

Live free in Christ!

Quit "fixing" Scripture. God does not need your help "fixing" His Word. I cannot have any kind of conversation with you until you read and accept what the Word says without "fixing" it at every turn. When you quit "fixing" His Word, then we can talk again.
Brother, the word of God comes from the prophets in the original languages and not from uninspired translators. For example, did you know that Sunday is never used in the Bible and where Sunday is translated in the Bible, it actually refers to Saturday. God's expression: "the first of the Sabbaths" refers to Saturday and not Sunday, another way of referring to the seventh day of the creation week we call Saturday. This expression by God for Saturday is necessary because the Sabbath falls between two days of the week in Jerusalem. The Sabbath in Jerusalem falls and takes halves between Friday and Saturday, so you only get half of a Friday and half of a Saturday in Jerusalem, with a Sabbath taking halves between those two days, giving us the following order: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sabbath, and Saturday, the Sabbath being an eighth division in the seven-day week.

361381_ff7aae7ab7169d40699276fc6f90eac7.png

The "evening" ending the Sabbath in Jerusalem is part of Saturday, as shown in the passage below where God uses an expression that was not previously understood: "the first of the Sabbaths". This expression refers to the first Sabbath of creation week or another way of saying the seventh day of the week that we call Saturday. I will use Saturday for the seventh day as different from the Sabbath, which is separate from the seventh day in Jerusalem, to correct the translation of this "expression" of God. Below, "as it dawns beyond Saturday" refers to the end of the second half of Saturday, the night half from evening to morning, where Jesus rose on a Saturday night after the Sabbath in Jerusalem and before the morning begins Sunday, as the days of creation are corrected from human tradition since Joshua by Paul in Hebrews. This means, Jesus rose on a Saturday night, after the Sabbath ended in the "evening", as that same "evening" began what God called "night" until Sunday began in the "morning". We speak from the point of view of what begins in the "morning", when the Bible speaks from the point of view of what ends in the "morning".

long after the Sabbath (evening), as it dawns beyond Saturday (morning), came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, to see the tomb. (Mathew 28:1, my own translation)

Your explanation hinges on the fact that the Israelite's counted time, as described in Genesis 1, as starting at sundown. Thus, from sundown on what we call Friday night, is their Saturday, the sabbath. Their first day of the week started on Saturday night at sundown, and ended on Sunday at sundown. So, when the women went to the tomb "on the first day of the week", (after the sabbath) it was still dark, but already Sunday morning. The sabbath ended at sundown the night before. Jesus was crucified on Thursday, died before the sun set on Thursday (so He was put in the tomb before Friday started at sundown), and was resurrected some time after dark, after the sabbath, on Sunday morning.

There is no distinction in Scripture between what you want to call the different parts of the Law. It is just "the Law". There is no division between the sacrificial laws, the priesthood laws, and the "moral" laws. They are all just "the Law". And all of the Law (in fact all of the Covenant of which the Law is only a part) was completely removed.

Again, there is no limitation here of the removing of only part of the Law. The whole of the Law was removed. Heb 7:12 makes it very clear, that the changing of the priesthood necessitates a change of the Law as well. You can't have a change of one without the complete changing of the other.

Yes, we do still have to follow God's moral laws, but only the ones that are part of the New Covenant. The Old Covenant has been fully, completely, and totally removed and replaced with the New Covenant. We are only subject to the commands, restrictions, and mandates of the New Covenant; and are not beholding to any part of the Old Covenant. This means that we are not subject to any of the 10 commandments, although under the New Covenant we are told not to murder, or covet, or worship other gods, or steal, etc. (the verses that state these in the New Covenant were posted previously). But there is no command anywhere in the NT that makes the keeping of the sabbath part of what we must do.
Paul explained this in; (Hebrews 10: (v.1) For the law (what law, the law of animal sacrifice?) having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (v.9) Then said he, (Jesus) Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first that he may establish the second. (v.10) By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

The point that is not understood is that we all have sin, but until Jesus came, there was no way of getting out from under your sins. So God institute a Priesthood and laws that went with the priesthood to control the sinning, and so the Lord use animal Sacrificial laws, even though it could not remove sins.

When Jesus died on the cross that was the end of the first covenant, which consisted of the blood of animals and the keeping of God’s commandments. And his death also brought in the second covenant, which consist of the blood of Jesus and the keeping of God’s commandments. (v.18) Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. In other words, no more animals are going to die for your sins. (20) by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; (21) and having an high priest over the house of God; (v.26) For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

Now do we understand what’s being said here? If you sin willfully after you have knowledge of what the truth is, no more animals are going to die for you. (v.27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Now if you are being deceived into believing that once you are under God’s grace you no longer have to keep his commandments, all you have to look forward to is the day of judgement and the lake of fire (fiery indignation).

No, not the law of animal sacrifice only, but all of the Law of Moses.
having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (v.9)
The animal sacrifices are only a part of the law he is talking about here.
Then said he, (Jesus) Lo, I come to do thy will, O God.

So God institute a Priesthood and laws that went with the priesthood to control the sinning, and so the Lord use animal Sacrificial laws, even though it could not remove sins.
The Law, and its constituent sacrifices, was there to codify what sin was (at that time) and the sacrifice were to "roll sin forward to Christ". They did not really remove the sin, just push it forward to land on Christ on the cross. Yes, all have sinned, even under the New Covenant, but the blood of Christ flows both ways in time.
When Jesus died on the cross that was the end of the first covenant, which consisted of the blood of animals and the keeping of God’s commandments. And his death also brought in the second covenant, which consist of the blood of Jesus and the keeping of God’s commandments. As noted before, since Jesus, our High Priest, comes from the tribe of Judah, from which no priest can come under the Old Covenant, there must of necessity be a change of the Law that made only the Levites priests. The Law of Moses is not separated into parts. It is an all or nothing law of God. If any one portion of it is changed, then all of it must be changed. And this is what He did when He removed the OT and established the NT.
Now do we understand what’s being said here? If you sin willfully after you have knowledge of what the truth is, no more animals are going to die for you.
But you are not teaching what is truth. You are teaching what was truth before Jesus died. But after His death the truth of the Law we must follow changed from the OT to the NT.
Certainly we who are under the NT have to keep His commandments that are part of the NT. But the OT is no longer relevant to us who are under the NT. And the NT does not contain any commandment to keep the sabbath as the OT did.

I have already done so, but your hard heart and blind eyes refuse to see the truth. You want to see division in the OT so that you can abandon those parts of it that are impossible to fulfill today (sacrificial system, priesthood, etc.) while keeping hold of the parts that YOU deem important. But that is not what God has said in His Word. All of the Law, the Prophets, and the writings have been completely removed because all of it is part of the Old Covenant, and the whole of the Old Covenant has been removed. Gal 4-5 does not give any room for keeping any part of the OT, because it says that it is the covenant, not the Law, not the sacrifices, not the priesthood, the covenant was removed, cast out, made obsolete.

You want to keep the OT? Go ahead. Knock yourself out. Be my guest. But you have to keep it all, not just the parts you like, if you want to receive your salvation through it, because Christ Jesus is worthless to you if you choose to hitch your wagon to the OT.

I was looking over just the last few posts here, Bro.T :)

The idea that you're putting forward, is it that any law that makes use of the levitical priesthood no longer applies to us?

If so... It looks to me like the entire law makes use of the Levites, because they were to teach the law

Deuteronomy 33:10 (the Levites) shall teach Jacob your ordinances,
and Israel your law

Without Levites around to say how the law is to be interpreted, it looks like it would be up to each individual person to decide that

And if that's what you're saying, that there's certain parts of the law that we still need to keep, but we interpret how we keep them, then cool!

You can try that if you want, but keep in mind the Bible says in Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Then you have to understand what's written in (1John 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Now we have just read the biblical definition of sin, the transgression (breaking) of the law (commandments.) It doesn’t matter what you or I think sin is, it’s what God says sin is that counts. Jesus only died once, so you willingly to break God's law, after accepting Jesus, your reward will be eternal damnation (Hebrews 10:26-27) 26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Let us avoid this at all costs, seeking a better reward. Jesus will return real soon And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (Revelation 22:12).

And if that's what you're saying, that there's certain parts of the law that we still need to keep, but we interpret how we keep them, then cool!

I'm not sure if we're communicating or not

I'm not talking about willfully sinning

Maybe a concrete example would help

Is it okay to drive on the Sabbath? Most Christians say Yes, most observant Jews say No

Who is right? If you say it's okay, is there a time limit? Can a person drive 8 hours one way to a place they really want to be on the Sabbath (maybe a church or beautiful nature area) and then 8 hours
back?

My bag if I miss understood you. Before answering that question let's take a look at Isaiah 58: 13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

As long as you taking care of the Lord's business and not doing your own thing. My advice is not to doing anything unnecessarily on the Sabbath day, because the Lord give us six days, if can wait or be done another day then leave it be. Always ask yourself, am I driving 8hrs for the Lord or pleasure. You can also help people in need. Jesus says in Mark 3: 4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace. 5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness [2] of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Sounds like we pretty much agree, with the possible exception of 6 days belonging to us

Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him

1 Corinthians 6:20 for you were bought with a price

As far as the seventh day, it looks like we agree that how we will honor God is up to each individual person

You mostly talk with no Bible prove, just talking, and talking on what you think.
I have already posted the passages of Scripture that state what I have told you. But you ignored it then, and you ignore it now. When you accept what God has told you already, then I will post additional Scripture to teach you more truths. But as long as you are ignoring the Scripture I have already given you, I see no reason to throw more of God's pearls for you to trample under your feet.

I understanding what you trying to teach, but you don't understand the difference between the Jesus in the Bible verses the Roman Christian Jesus. Paul say in 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. God’s Holydays exchanged for Pagan (worshippers of false gods) holidays. Sabbath change from Saturday to Sunday.

Jesus say in (Mat.7:21) “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven”. For students to succeed in school, students learn to follow their teachers' instructions, and learn their lessons carefully. But few apply this method when they are dealing with the word of God. Is Jesus your Lord? Then why don’t you do the things he says. (Luke 6:46) “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say”? He told you plainly: (Ex 20:8-10) (v.8) Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (v.9) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: (v.10) “But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God”.

Now any Christian in their right mind wouldn’t dare say that it’s okay to steal, kill or commit adultery or break any of the other seven commandments. But when it comes to the fourth commandment, people avoid it like a plague! They are either uninformed about which day is the Sabbath day of the God of the Bible or you just following tradition of religion passed down through the family or maybe you have let some preacher give you excuses for ignoring God’s true day of worship. Again, God’s laws exchanged for the traditions of Men. God’s Holydays exchanged for Pagan (worshippers of false gods) holidays. Sabbath change from Saturday to Sunday. Paul says in Colossians 2: 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

In Acts 18: 1 After these things Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth; 2 and found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them. 3 And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers. 4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

So Jesus didn’t change the Sabbath day. All the Apostles including Paul kept the Sabbath (7th day), not Sunday.

I don't think we should avoid it, just understand that we don't need to keep the ritual aspects of it

There are no "holy days" in the NT Church. There are no days that are designated as special, holy, or set aside for worship in the NT Scriptures. So there were no "holy days" for the catholic cult to change. The Saturday sabbath from the OT was removed along with all the rest of the OT, and has no bearing on the NT Church.
(v.9) Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: (v.10) “But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God”.
Yes, the seventh day was the sabbath of the Lord under the OT. But the OT is not binding on the NT Church, just as the rules we had to follow while we were in school are no longer binding on us after we leave school. While we were in school we were under the schoolmaster and subject to its rules. But when we become adults and are no longer in school we are no longer subject to the schoolmaster or its rules (Gal 3:23-29)

The Old Covenant, in its entirety, has been removed from relevance to the people of God (Gal 3:23-29, Gal 4:21-5:6). It is no longer the Law of God for those in Christ, and so the ten commandments (all ten of them) have been removed. Nine of the ten were restated in the New Covenant, and so the concepts in those nine are still relevant for us today. But the fourth commandment of the ten was NOT restated in the New Covenant, and so is not relevant for us today. Today, it is the "ten commandments" that are the "traditions" that are not of Christ.
Why did Paul go to the synagogue every sabbath? Because that is where the people were who were already in a mindset to worship God and learn about Him. It is much easier and more effective to find a ready and receptive audience when you want to teach something. School teachers do not go one on one to each student's home to teach them, or try to follow a parent around on their shopping trips to teach the children while they are on the go. No, they wait until the children are gathered together in one place for the purpose of learning, and then try to impart knowledge and training that will be beneficial to their life.
So Jesus didn’t change the Sabbath day. All the Apostles including Paul kept the Sabbath (7th day), not Sunday.
When did Paul tell us to set aside our tithe in the NT Church? On the Lord's Day (the first day of the week)(1 Cor 16:2). Does this mean that this is the day of worship authorized in the NT Church? No. It means that on the first day we are to give our first fruits. Now, this is probably because that is when they met to worship, but that is not said in Scripture. There is nothing in Scripture that makes the first day of the week the "new sabbath", but there is also nothing in the NT Scripture that perpetuates the seventh day as the sabbath. Jesus is the sabbath rest for which we have been seeking, not a particular day of the week (Heb 4:6-11).

You really not understanding what you reading, let's take a closer look at what Paul is saying because he's not talking the Holy Days in (Gal. 3:1, 13, 16-17, 19, 24) (v.1) O FOOLISH Ga-la’-tians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? (v.13) Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, CURSED IS EVERYONE THAT HANGETH ON A TREE: What law is this talking about? Let the bible speak for itself.

(v.16) Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of One, AND TO THY SEED, which is Christ. (v.17) And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
To sum up what going on here in Galatians, Paul is explaining that Christ came from Abraham seed, and remove the animal Sacrificial law. But in the days of Abraham that animal Sacrificial law never was on the table, and was not needed for Abraham to obey and have faith in God. But the Commandments was always on the table.

Now pay attention, the law that is being spoken of here came four hundred and thirty years after this covenant. But God’s holy commandments have been around forever even before man was created. Remember that Satan was kicked out of heaven because iniquity (sin) was found in him. And what is sin? The transgression of the law (commandments). Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Now we have just read the biblical definition of sin, the transgression (breaking) of the law (commandments.) It doesn’t matter what you or I think sin is, it’s what God says sin is that counts. (1John 3:4)

(v.19) Wherefore then serveth the law? A question is being asked here. Then why should we serve this law? It was added because of transgression, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; the law that we are talking about here was added because of sin. But we now know that sin is the transgression of the law.

How do you add a law if sin is the transgression of the law? Because there are two sets of laws, you have God’s holy commandments which abided forever, and you had the animal sacrificial law which was added because of sin, but it was only good until the seed should come to whom the promise was made, and that seed was Jesus. (v.24) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. This animal sacrificial law was only a schoolmaster. (Paul breaks down more of this law in Hebrew 10th Chapter)
And this schoolmaster taught you that when you sinned in ignorance blood had to be shed (an animal sacrificed). But Christ being the ultimate sacrifice shed his precious blood once and for all, and by doing this putting an end to the animal sacrificial law.

Paul says in Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law. So when you quoted all the places in the Bible that do away with this animal sacrificial law, not understanding that Paul talks about two sets of law. The Royal law (Ten Commandments) and the animal sacrificial law sometimes in the same verse you bring can bring destruction to yourself not knowing which law is which.

At some point common sense you kick in. If I'm reading about the doing away of a law or not under a law, then somewhere else Paul tell you that the law is Holy just and good, another place break mostly all the Ten commandments down. A light bulb should come on in your head, Paul have to be talking about two sets of laws. In other places Paul explain the animal sacrificial law.

If you are following all of the writing of Paul, then you will find out that you are following Jesus, and if you are truly following Jesus then you are following the law of God.Paul says in (Rom. 7:7,12) (v.7) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, THOU SHALT NOT COVET.

Paul asked a question, is the law sin? He said God forbid, he said the only way that he knew what sin was, was by the law. (v.12) Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Why in the world would a Christian want to do away with something that God said is holy.

Paul says in (Rom. 4:15) Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. If there is no law there is no sin.

Why did Paul go to the synagogue every sabbath?
Because it's the law (Commandments). "The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, change the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the cursed devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left." (Isaiah 24:5-6).

"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because, that in it, He had rested from all his work which God created and made." (Gen 2:1-3).

The bible reveals that God blessed and set apart (sanctified) the seventh day. This day is holy unto God, and it is the only day of the week that we are commanded to honor. "Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation: ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings."

Let this scripture encourage us not to be "Covenant breakers" and learn how we are to honor the Sabbath by keeping it holy and a sacred day. Men and women of Israel and all that fear God, if we want eternal life in Jesus' Kingdom, and favor with God and man here on earth, we must be Christians, and rejoice in his Sabbath on the Sabbath (7th day).

Jesus is the sabbath rest for which we have been seeking, not a particular day of the week (Heb 4:6-11).

Paul concerning the unchangeable Royal Law of God. (Rom. 13:7-10) (v.7) Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. (v.8) Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. That’s the biblical definition of love, the keeping of God’s law. (v.9) For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF. (v.10) Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

And that is what God’s holy commandments are all about; the first four tells you how to love God and the last six tells you how to love your neighbor. If you love your God you will not do any thing to offend him, like having other gods before him. You will do as he says like remember the sabbath day to keep it holy on the seventh day of the week. If you love him you will obey him when he tells you not to eat certain meats etc… And the same goes for your fellow man, if you love your neighbor you wouldn’t steal from him, you wouldn’t kill him, you wouldn’t try and sleep with his wife and so on and so forth. (See exodus 20: 1-17)

The Acts of the Apostles is the second book attributed to Luke, I believe written about 80-90 A.D., we now come to one of the most frequently quoted verses of Paul to support the false teaching of the sacredness of Sunday: (Acts: 20: 7) And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. Now let’s take a close look at this verse and dissect it a little. Notice Paul continued his speech until midnight! It was after sunset, but prior to midnight. The first day of the week in biblical times did not begin at midnight, as men begin it today.

The Lord’s days begin and end at evening (sunset). (Gen. 1:5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first. All biblical days began and ended at sunset. Throughout the Roman world at that time, and for a few hundred years afterward, days began and ended at sunset. The practice of beginning the new day at midnight was started much later.

So this meeting, and Paul’s preaching, took place during the time that we now call Saturday night. Remember when dealing with the Lord’s days the evening comes first. If you read more than just that one verse you would see what actually happen. Paul’s companions were engaged in the labor of rowing and sailing a boat while Paul was preaching that Saturday night and early Sunday. They had set sail Saturday night, after the sabbath had ended. Paul remained behind for one more farewell sermon. Then at day break Sunday morning, Paul set afoot, walking from Tro’-as to As’-sos to meet the ship. So actually Paul left Sunday Morning, but this verse (Acts: 20:7) says nothing about a change of the Lord’s holy sabbath day.
The days of unleavened bread begin in the evening. From the evening of the 14th day, until the evening of the twenty first day.
Ex 12:18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

Hi Bro.T, I can see that you really like to look closely at the scriptures here

In the set of laws called God’s holy commandments, how many laws do you find? Do you see just ten, or are there others?

Peace be with you, my man

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
