I guess I'll take it, considering the horrifying alternatives that keep me up at night.
Maybe Trump should start a support group for SOME distressed liberals who’s fantasy world ended with the Trump victory.

A donation received 13 years before Trump ever ran for office.

Is that really the best the left has?

Seems to be nothing more than a mysoginistc attack against a woman being placed in a position of power.
In order for her to refuse a lawsuit by average Americans like us who were bilked by a fraudulent university owned by DJT. They only wanted to improve their lives and were defrauded by DJT. A similar lawsuit in NY cost DJT $25 million, so the $25K he gave Bondi had a probable 1000% savings for him.
This story, and many others, attest to the character of the man you elected.

The person we are discussing is Pam Bondi -

Thank God for the man we elected in a fair and free expression of the Democratic process.
Thank God the American Public has spoken.

Thank God we have come to the reality that the best person for the job has been elected.

With all his flaws - he is head and shoulders above anyone the left has - that should be a wake up call for the left and they should rethink their message and begin to realize they have a problem and it isn't Trump. So perhaps we should top calling for the overthrow of a duly elected President.

I guess I just have higher standards than you. No convicted felon who owned fraudulent universities and committed at least half a billion in tax fraud will ever have my trust.
In previous elections the choice was between candidates who would be able to pass background checks for entry level jobs and travel freely to Canada, New Zealand, Spain and other countries (where felons are banned from entry due to convictions.)
Sure, we disagree on policies but character counts for 50.1% of voters.

Uh, no. The donation was made in September of 2013. That's about two years before Trump ran for office (he started his campaign in 2015). A month later, the Florida AG's office quietly weeded out all but one of the previously-reported complaints against Trump's businesses and declined to participate in the Trump University lawsuit on the grounds that they had "only received one complaint".
Seems to be nothing more than a mysoginistc attack against a woman being placed in a position of power.
What's misogynistic about it? She was in a position to sue Trump on behalf of the citizens of state of Florida, she got money from Trump, she chose not to sue Trump. I'd say the same thing if she were a man. Can I prove that it was a bribe? Of course not. But it sure as heck looks fishy, and I think it bears further investigation.

Oh, was there a charge? A Trail and conviction. Can’t seem to find anything starting 20 years ago.
The foundation paid a $2,500 fine for violating IRS rules against political contributions by charitable organizations.

Trump pays IRS a penalty for his foundation violating rules with gift to aid Florida attorney general

Donald Trump paid the IRS a $2,500 penalty this year, an official at Trump's company said, after it was revealed that Trump's charitable foundation had violated tax laws by giving a political contribution to a campaign group connected to Florida's attorney general.

Trumps foundation made a donation to a campaign group -
Which is illegal for a nonprofit.
Well! that settles it!

Shoot them both publicly -
You can't shoot a foundation. But the law calls for a financial penalty when an illegal campaign contribution is made.

You're welcome.

but you can assign blame to the man? Because it has his name - it is automatically him doing something wrong -

EXACTLY the reason I am an avid Trump supporter.

The devil himself is not as evil as the President is portrayed by some.
You're welcome.

I think the Trump Derangement Syndrome is affecting you.

This thread is about Pam Bondi.

Reasonably competent, bribe-able and indirectly responsible for the Trump Foundation being shut down.

Post #3 offers evidence that the Trump Foundation illegally donated $25,000 to her campaign. And the lawsuit went away.

Ii also have no evidence that there is anyone on the face of the earth that Trump would nominate that the left will not have issue with and call them names, make accusations and use it as an opportunity to continue the narrative that cost the Democratic Party the election Nationally and in both Houses of Congress. They are holding onto it like grim death. But that is only my observation.

It definitely is because we are so inundated by it day and night for seven years. It has reached into almost every avenue of life and has caused riots and deaths - It continues on because the extreme left cannot let it go.

If the man passed wind in public we would have threads talking about how he is using chemical warfare.
This thread is about Pam Bondi.
I was talking about Pam Bondi and how she is the latest victim of - what did you call it? - Trump derangement Syndrome

Since you are the one who brought it up - it is not off topic to reply

You're welcome

Pam Bondi

Pamela Jo Bondi is an American attorney, lobbyist, and politician. A member of the Republican Party, she served as Florida attorney general from 2011 to 2019, the first woman elected to the office.
In 2020, Bondi was one of President Donald Trump's defense lawyers during his first impeachment trial. By 2024, she led the legal arm of the Trump-aligned America First Policy Institute.
Why would you NOT want a person of this pedigree as your AG - first woman elected to be Florida AG held the office for eight years. An established attorney.

Bondi acted as a prosecutor and spokeswoman in Hillsborough County, Florida, where she was an Assistant State Attorney. Bondi resigned this position to seek the office of Attorney General of Florida. She has made guest appearances on Scarborough Country with Joe Scarborough and various other cable news programming on MSNBC and worked for Fox News as a guest host.
A former prosecutor - just like Kamala - an assistant State Attorney and has bipartisan experience on national news networks. Sounds like some who works with both sides.

I’m sorry you live in such great fear that it keeps you up at night.

Look at the bright side, she is not Merrick Garland. That has to bring some comfort to your tortured soul.

meow

you forgot Trumps 2 scoops of ice ream and Melania's shoes. Those needed national attention also!

And other great things of national importance.

Good grief!

But thank you - you reinforced my reasons for not believing anything from the left.

TBT, I have never seen a worse group of Cabinet picks in my life.
Our government is not reality TV, and it seems like that's all that most of them can do.
Who's next? Joe Exotic for Secretary of the Interior?

TBT, I have never seen a worse group of Cabinet picks in my life.
You didn't see the current ones?
Our government is not reality TV, and it seems like that's all that most of them can do.
Which one is from reality TV?
  • Chief of Staff: Trump named his senior campaign adviser Susie Wiles as his White House chief of staff, the first woman in history to hold the title. The Florida political consultant largely stays out of the spotlight, but has been credited with helping Trump's political comeback. First woman in history to be named Chief of Staff
  • Attorney General: Pam Bondi - former State AG Frist woman in history to be named AG in Florida
  • Secretary of State: U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida is nominated as the next Secretary of State. He will bring foreign policy experience through his roles in the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. A Cuban-American, he is set to be the first Latino person to be Secretary of State. First Latino to be Secretary of State
  • Director of National Intelligence: Former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is nominated as the director of national intelligence. The former Democratic presidential candidate-turned Republican represented Hawaii's 2nd Congressional District from 2013-2021. Former Democrat
  • Ambassador to the United Nations: Trump nominated Elise Stefanik, a five-term Republican representing a northern New York district, as his pick for UN ambassador. She is the House Republican Conference Chair and a former contender for Trump's running mate.
  • Secretary of Health and Human Services: Trump has named Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the Department of Health and Human Services. The 2024 independent candidate has previously criticized vaccines and questioned the origin of the COVID-19 virus. He is arguably best known for spreading unfounded claims about a link between childhood vaccines and autism. Former Democrat
  • Secretary of Defense: Trump nominated former Fox News host Pete Hegseth to Defense secretary. A Fox News commentator, Hegseth served in the U.S. Army National Guard and had led veteran's advocacy groups.
  • Secretary of Education: World Wrestling Entertainment co-founder Linda McMahon has been nominated to oversee the Education Department. She served as former head of the Small Business Administration from 2017 to 2019.
  • Secretary of Commerce: Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick has been selected to serve as the commerce secretary. The Wall Street billionaire is expected to offer insight relating to job creation and economic growth.
  • Environmental Protection Agency Administrator: Trump has appointed Lee Zeldin as the administrator of The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Zeldin was a Congressman for parts of Long Island, New York and ran but lost against Kathy Hochul in the 2022 gubernatorial race.
  • Director of the Central Intelligence Agency: Trump designated his former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe as CIA director. Ratcliffe previously was a House member from Texas before serving as director of national intelligence at the end of Trump's first presidency.
  • Secretary of Homeland Security: Trump announced his choice of South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem to be the Secretary of Homeland Security. The pick puts the hardline conservative governor, who sent the state's National Guard to the southern border, in a key role on immigration.
  • Secretary of Interior: Trump has nominated Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum to be his secretary of Interior coordinating federal policy to several territories. Burgum previously ran to be Republican presidential nominee before dropping out in December and has long been vocal about fossil fuels and energy issues.
  • Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs: Trump has nominated former Republican U.S. Rep. Doug Collins to be his secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs. He served as a congressman representing Georgia's 9th district from 2013 to 2021. A trusted Trump loyalist, he is a chaplain of the United States Air Force Reserve Command and served in the Iraq War in 2008.
  • Secretary of the Department of Energy: Trump is nominating oil industry executive Chris Wright, CEO of Liberty Energy and 2024 campaign donor to lead the Department of Energy. Wright, who has expressed skepticism about climate change science, would join a Trump administration that campaigned to roll back climate change policies and clean energy spending ushered in during President Biden's term.
  • Deputy chief of staff for policy: Long-standing Trump adviser Stephen Miller has been tapped for deputy chief of staff for policy in Trump's next administration. The 39-year-old served as senior adviser to Trump and director of speechwriting during the Republican's first term in the White House and is credited with shaping Trump’s immigration policies.
  • 'Border czar': Trump has appointed Tom Homan to oversee deportation policy and aviation security. Homan was a Border Patrol agent for 34 years and served in Trump's first administration as acting ICE director. He drew controversy for strict immigration enforcement, including the "zero-tolerance" policy which separated families of undocumented immigrants.
  • National security adviser: Trump has named Florida Rep. Mike Waltz as his national security adviser. Waltz has held civilian positions at the Pentagon, was on the House Armed Services Committee and has supported Trump's isolationist view of foreign relations.
  • U.S. ambassador to Israel: Trump announced he is nominating former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as his U.S. ambassador to Israel. Huckabee is a Baptist minister and former Fox News host, who has run for the Republican presidential nomination twice, unsuccessfully. His daughter is Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as White House press secretary during Trump's first presidency.
  • White House Counsel: Trump tapped William McGinley to serve as his White House counsel. McGinley, a partner at the Washington-based law firm Holtzman Vogel, worked as White House Cabinet secretary during Trump's first presidency.
  • U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York: Trump has nominated Jay Clayton as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Clayton has previously served as chair of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission during Trump's first term.
  • Deputy attorney general: Trump has decided lawyer Todd Blanche will serve as deputy attorney general. Blanche is known for aggressively representing the president-elect in his New York hush money trial and in two federal criminal cases.
  • White House Communications Director: Trump named Steven Cheung to be his communications director in his second term. Cheung worked as the rapid response director for Trump's 2016 presidential campaign and was perhaps the most adversarial of the candidate's spokespersons, Asian American
  • White House Press Secretary: Trump named Karoline Leavitt as his second-term White House press secretary. She's expected to be the youngest to ever hold the position.
  • Secretary of Transportation: Trump has named former reality TV star Sean Duffy as his pick for Secretary of Transportation. Once a cast member on MTV's "The Real World," he later served as a congressman from Wisconsin's 7th congressional district from 2011 to 2019 and went on to co-host "The Bottom Line" on Fox Business.
  • Federal Communications Commission Chairman: Trump tapped Brendan Carr to lead the Federal Communications Commission. The senior Republican commissioner at the FCC authored a chapter of Project 2025, the 900-page "presidential transition project" released by the Heritage Foundation.
  • Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services administrator: Physician and television personality Dr. Mehmet Oz is Trump's pick to oversee the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which operates under the Department of Health and Human Services. Muslim American
Here is a hint - not one. Unless you stretch reality and consider Mrs. McMahon.

There is however a very wide variety of people - first time for a couple woman - a Jewish American, an Asian America - the first Latino serving in his position and a Muslim American. And five former Democrats, Including the President himself.

Makes me wonder if we have been lied to all these years.
I predict his next pick to be Joe Exotic for Secretary of the Interior.
If he decided to declare himself transgender - I am sure he would be accepted by the ones that lost the election across the board - Including all seven swing states - the Presidency and both Houses of Congress.
