I get what the comment was really about and the ridiculous spin on it just fine.
Your explanation doesn’t even make any sense. The wording of it doesn’t recall overflowing landfills (though it does recall the pacific garbage patch) and even if it did, who the heck remembers that story from several years ago? You admitted that you needed the joke explained to you, and now you’re convinced that the nonsensical explanation that was handed to you was the correct one? lol

I would like to see Kamala apologize for the pot holes in the roads and 25% inflation.
Nevermind the laundry list of utopian dreams paid by some nebulous scheme to tax the rich promised to whatever group needs pandering today.
Not to mention the continual references to Hitler which are complete nonsense and outright lies. The righteous indignation from liberals over a comedians remarks are nothing short of hypocritical desperation searching for taking points. Were any liberals outraged at the many comedic digs on Trump the last few years?

What doesn't make sense is concluding it isn't a reference to:

According to a study commissioned by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and conducted by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Puerto Rico could run out of landfill space in 2-4 years. LINK

You admitted that you needed the joke explained to you,
Where did I admit to needing the joke explained to me?
and now you’re convinced that the nonsensical explanation that was handed to you was the correct one?
Nothing was handed to me, I came to a logical conclusion.
Why do you find it necessary to take such an acerbic mocking tone with me so often?

If that were the basis of the joke, then that would give away the punchline - the “Puerto Rico” bit wouldn’t be a surprise. That doesn’t work as a joke.

Where did I admit to needing the joke explained to me?

Is that not what you meant when you said this:

It's obvious the reference was to Puerto Rico's landfill crisis.

That's not something I'd remember, it's something that would have to be pointed out as a supposed tie-in,

(emphasis mine)

Why do you find it necessary to take such an acerbic mocking tone with me so often?

I do that with lots of people.

Puerto Rico's current landfill problem is obviously the basis, rather than as you said, a story from several years ago.
Is that not what you meant when you said this:
That was debunking a statement, not admitting I needed an explanation.
I do that with lots of people.
You're admitting that you frequently violate this rule: Do not personally attack (insult, belittle, mock, ridicule) other members

The landfill story was the one from several years ago. The pacific garbage patch is the ongoing story.
Puerto Rico is located in the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, not the Pacific.
You’re welcome to report me if you think I’ve crossed a line.
How about just refraining from mockery?

I'm half Puerto Rican. Exactly how is this supposed to endear to this group. I get that Trump did not say this but seriously, it's really souring for me. The fact many are defending this as "it's just a joke bro", you don't speak for me and other people from my culture who are also upset. And especially supposed Christians laughing at this online. I hope people realize Christians are supposed to be above name calling and mockery.

but seriously, it's really souring for me.
Same here. Makes me wonder if the guy isn't a mole who decided for personal reasons to really mess up the rally.
I have seen the "joke" explained but it is half wit, or less.
I think Trump should apologize, distance himself and move on.
I think most Americans have a "tropical jewel" opinion of the island.
Some place fun to visit if only for a brief vacation.

Obviously inviting the guy to speak at the rally was a big mistake.

He was talking about the landfills not the citizens.
No, that is not how it came off.

Especially when remembering Trump describing American as a garbage can because of the immigrants.

Unless you are Native American, you are a descendant of immigrants.
It's obvious the reference was to Puerto Rico's landfill crisis.

I've changed my mind on this. I've concluded that I put far more thought into it than Tony Hinchcliffe did. Making insulting jokes is his trade, and while Don Rickles was good at it, Hinchcliffe is not in my opinion. And I think the Trump campaign showed poor judgement in inviting him to speak.

It wasn't about Puerto Ricans, it was about Puerto Rico. I think the joke was in bad taste but if Puerto Rico is such a lovely place, why are so many Puerto Ricans living in the USA?

Pretty much all Puerto Ricans live in the USA, even those living in Puerto Rico -- the exceptions are likely largely those in the US Armed Forces. And one of the major issues of Puerto Rico is that we (the United States) kneecap their economy (see the Jones Act).

However, that was what the entire media was slavering for.
Tucker Carlson delivered some of the most thought provoking comments of the entire show
Yet the msm is yelping about his referring to Kamala as a "Samoan Melasian" and in context he was making a valid point, not caring where she was from exactly as he was making a point.

It is what the liberal biased media came to see and that is all they saw. And heard.
That is the tragedy of the American Main Stream Media.

Obama called Americans bitter, clinging to their guns and bibles
Hillary called half of America "basket of deplorables"
Those statements don't seem to make any difference.
As Jim Carville stated, "It is the economy, stupid."

Tucker Carlson was racist and lying.

There was no reason to call Kamala Harris "Samoan Malaysian". She is of Indian descent (therefore South Asian) and Jamican descent to a black father. Carlson was just being a jerk. It is mighty dumb of him not to know the difference between India, Malaysia and Samoa.

He also said, " “She’s never been accused of doing anything useful. She has precisely no achievements."
Wrong. He is a liar.
She went to law school, DID pass the bar, was a prosecuter, District Attorney and Attorney General for California. Then she was a Senator from California. I hate repeating myself but I wrote this in August:

Let's look at some details about Kamala Harris.
Taking this from Kamala Harris - Wikipedia

Her mother was a scientist. She earned a PhD in nutrition and endocrinology at UC Berkeley in 1964. Kamala's father was an economics professor.
Kamala Harris went to Howard University, " a historically black university in Washington, D.C., living initially in a dorm room at Eton Tower near Thomas Circle.[41][48] While at Howard, she interned as a mailroom clerk for California senator Alan Cranston, chaired the economics society, led the debate team, and joined Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority." That sorority is the oldest historically black sorority. " She also completed a summer internship at the Federal Trade Commission, worked as a tour guide at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and participated in anti-apartheid protests at the South African embassy and National Mall.[48][50][51][41] Harris graduated in 1986 with a degree in political science and economics.[52]"

Harris then returned to California to attend the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly the University of California, Hastings College of the Law) through its Legal Education Opportunity Program (LEOP).[53] While at UC Law SF, she served as president of its chapter of the Black Law Students Association.[54] She graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1989[55] and was admitted to the California Bar in June 1990.[56]
While at Hastings Law School, she was president of the Black Law Students association.
Her job experience:

1990 - deputy district attorney in Alameda County, California,
1994 - Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and later to the California Medical Assistance Commission.
1998 - "chief of the Career Criminal Division, supervising five other attorneys, where she prosecuted homicide, burglary, robbery, and sexual assault cases – particularly three-strikes cases."
2000 - San Francisco city hall running the Family and Children's Services Division representing child abuse and neglect cases
2003 - became the District Attorney for San Francisco and was reelected in 2007
2010 - 2016 - CA Attorney General
2011 - "Harris obtained two of the largest recoveries in the history of California's False Claims Act over excess state Medi-Cal and federal Medicare payments.[70][71]"

2012 - "Harris leveraged California's economic clout to obtain better terms in the National Mortgage Settlement against the nation's five largest mortgage servicers.[72]"
2015 - "Harris obtained a $1.2 billion judgment against for-profit Corinthian Colleges for false advertising and deceptive marketing targeting vulnerable, low-income students and misrepresenting job placement rates to students, investors, and accreditation agencies.[76]"
2012 - "Harris announced an agreement with Apple, Amazon, Google, Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft, Research in Motion, and Facebook to mandate that apps sold in their stores display prominent privacy policies informing users of what private information they were sharing, and with whom.[80][81] "
2015 - "Harris secured two settlements with Comcast totaling $59 million over allegations that it posted online the names, phone numbers and addresses of tens of thousands of customers, and discarded paper records without first omitting or redacting private customer information.[82]"

I am going to skip some things to stay within 20%

2015 - 2016 - Harris secured multiple multi-million-dollar settlements with fuel service companies Chevron, BP, ARCO, Phillips 66, and ConocoPhillips to resolve allegations they failed to properly monitor the hazardous materials in their underground gasoline storage tanks.[100][101][102]
2012 - "Harris announced that the California Department of Justice had improved its DNA testing capabilities, clearing California's DNA backlog for the first time.[104]"

During her term as attorney general, Harris's office oversaw major investigations and prosecutions targeting transnational criminal organizations for their involvement in violent crime, fraud schemes, drug trafficking, and smuggling.[114] In summer 2012, Harris signed an accord with the Attorney General of Mexico, Marisela Morales, to improve coordination of law enforcement resources targeting transnational gangs engaging in the sale and trafficking of human beings across the San Ysidro border crossing.[115]

Harris at Howard University in 2017
On May 15, 2015, Harris received a Doctor of Laws from the University of Southern California.[116][117] On May 13, 2017, she received a Doctor of Humane Letters from Howard University,[118][119] where she gave a commencement address.[120]

2016 - US Senator She was very busy. Some highlights:

In January, Harris was appointed to the Senate Judiciary Committee after the resignation of Al Franken.[143] Later that month, Harris questioned Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen for favoring Norwegian immigrants over others and for claiming to be unaware that Norway is a predominantly white country.[144][145]

In May, Harris heatedly questioned Secretary Nielsen about the Trump administration family separation policy, under which children were separated from their families when the parents were taken into custody for illegally entering the U.S.[146] In June, after visiting one of the detention facilities near the border in San Diego,[147] Harris became the first senator to demand Nielsen's resignation.[148]

Harris was a target of the October 2018 United States mail bombing attempts.[152]
In December, the Senate passed the Justice for Victims of Lynching Act (S. 3178), sponsored by Harris.[153] The bill, which died in the House, would have made lynching a federal hate crime.[154]

Harris supported busing for desegregation of public schools, saying that "the schools of America are as segregated, if not more segregated, today than when I was in elementary school."[155] She viewed busing as an option to be considered by school districts, rather than the responsibility of the federal government.[156]
Harris was an early co-sponsor of the Green New Deal, a plan to transition the country towards generating 100 percent renewable electricity by 2030.[157]
Before the opening of the impeachment trial of Donald Trump on January 16, 2020, Harris delivered remarks on the floor of the Senate, stating her views on the integrity of the American justice system and the principle that nobody, including an incumbent president, is above the law. Harris later asked Senate Judiciary chairman Lindsey Graham to halt all judicial nominations during the impeachment trial, to which Graham acquiesced.[172][173] Harris voted to convict the president on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.[174]
Harris has worked on bipartisan bills with Republican co-sponsors, including a bail reform bill with Senator Rand Paul,[175] an election security bill with Senator James Lankford,[176] and a workplace harassment bill with Senator Lisa Murkowski.[177]
She was elected as Biden's VP in 2020.

In contrast, Trump has never been an employee, and went bankrupt 6 times, and has his name on buildings he didn't build.....pathetic when compared to Kamala Harris.
